If you have and angle grinder you can use a similar setup by attaching the line to the arbor and tightening it to the cutting wheel. Angle grinders are usually 2-3 times the rpm and more power to them to get through thicker stuff. Hope this helps. Thanks for watching. Please like and subscribe
Is it ok to use a much longer bit, say 10 inches? Reason being I have grass that grown in between vegetable beds. The beds are fairly close to one another, 3-4" It would be great to be able to extend this down in a narrow space.
Yes that would give you more rpm and power. But more people are likely to have an impact driver than a grinder. That’s why I went this route as it’s a more common household tool. Thanks for the tip. I might make a video of a trimmer with my grinder at some point. Please like and subscribe
Thanks for the tip. But the weed trimmer string here is cheaper than zip ties. Plus less likely to break as it’s designed for trimming. Thanks for offering advice though.
Some people are ok with bending to do gardening. It’s a weed wacker not a lawnmower. Also some people would just use their head and put an extension on if it was too short. You can buy 3 foot extensions for impact drivers if you open your mind a little bit.
