This was a year ago - how'd the color hold up?

I have some nice army boots that I recently got at a yardsale but the color is nooott my style. I am hoping to dye them black but I'm nervous about it. I have generally dye but now I'm going to get leather specific dye. I've heard that some people wash the shoes afterwards to prevent the shoe dye bleeding but is it the same with leather?

Would you recommend doing this for a pair of guidi's? Found a pair of blood red PL2's, but would prefer that they were black. Cannot find them for this price in black im just not sure if its good idea to dye them. Thoughts?

I was actually watching when you started dying and I was like, why don't you put gloves 😂😭😂 they were nice in green but not the type of green you can wear daily.
