DIY Elastic Boxer Shorts! (beginner-friendly) 

Nothing like comfy cotton shorts in summer. And they're great project for upcycling, as one doesn't need a lot of fabric. I've made some cute little sets out of thrifted men's shirts - they're often really good quality, compared with typical fast fashion. For people with fluctuating weight I would recommend doing the tunnel method for the elastic, though. It's a little more fiddly maybe, but you can shorten or lengthen/exchange the elastic, if your belly circumference changes significantly.

Matching the plaid pattern in the front is always a challenge. There are great tutorials out there to accomplish it.

I don't know what I am doing wrong but I followed everything and I cannot fit in the shorts and the elastic isn't... elastic lol I have ripped the elastic part 3 times now and since I am about to cry I will stop here.
