Many fitter more astute ebike users only want to use the motor for shortish bursts anyway - for a few hundred metres every now and then - depending on a variety of ever-changing factors and priorities.. Paul G
Really only over heats if turning over heavy car engine for 5 or 10 minutes.When clutch fail’s I have driven car on the starter motor. To start it in first gear . Also run out of petrol drive the car of the road with the starter motor. Bicycle would not draw enough current to over heat. Starter motor would be much more rugged than bicycle motor. Most likely indestructible.
use single sprocket and add extension to add another seperated single sprocket, 1 to the pedal crank , 1 to the motor , and use dynamo to power up the motor , but must seal the wire for waterproof

Buena idea, lo usaría para aceleración cuando se toma cierta velocidad pedaleando en camino recto, para no sobrecalentarlo. No seas flojo, pedalear no hace mal, luego le das con el motor.

thi starter motor idea is a bad idea, it designed for intermitant duties, to just start an engine, running this motor for any length of time under load will cause it to over heat, as there is no cooling provided . i know this as a Motorcycle mechanic who has tried diffenet starter motor for car or bikes and realised they all fialed due to over heating...... Dont believe it? disable the fuel pump in your car or bike and just crank over the engine, i bet if the battery is ggod, the starter motor will fail first ....
