Heey everyone! Today I have a different video. DIY Embellishments without punches. I don’t own any, so I had to get a little creative. I remember I had a request to do a video like this and I hope you will like it. It was my first time making them and they will be perfect for snail mail or junk journals. Maybe even in your art journal. Let me know what you think :)

Thank you! Me neither. I spend an afternoon cutting shapes. And the essembling is pretty quick. But i still have shapes, so i can make a lot more :)

You have a Lot more patience than I have This is all fine, if you have no punches, etc. But with the $$ I've spent on punches, dies, and even the ScanNCut my hubby bought for me, you can better believe I will be using them! I dont have your kind of patience. Yours are definitely one of a kind.☺️

Nice! A lot of work did go into making this. How long did it take? Since i have circle punches, i would use them (makes life easier LOL) Now you just have to make another video when you show us what you use them for... ;-) Groetjes, Marie

Thank you! yes it is pretty time consuming. i spend an afternoon cutting and tracing in front of the tv and an hour to put them together. i was thinking About investing in punches because of the reason you gave lol. but for now this will do😁 of course I will show you. i have a plan with them and more diy's coming up!! 😁 groetjes!!!!

Such a great idea!!! Would definitely try this for my art journal & collages. I am just starting with my art journal so this is perfect. Do you think applying mod podge would make it shiny & sturdy?? I love glossy stuffs but some glossy medium are so damn expensive!! Thank you!! 😆😆😆

This is such a great video :) Lots of inspiration and no special tools :))) I wish you would do one or two with your beautiful voice. One similar to this one and one where you use these embellishments for cardmaking :))) Just saying... I LOVED this video, I have been thinking about starting to make embellishments, I already love making tags and borders, I love using my scraps and stash, I save tiny bits of paper. I have no punches and enjoy cutting things with my scissors. You have really inspired me.

Great idea! This would save tons of money instead of buying die cuts, fancy stickers plus it keeps stuff out of our landfills. Also, it always means more that it is totally handmade. And it looks fun! Great idea for kids art projects & teaches them to use simple things they have on hand.

I really love your creativity and all of the end projects, but I LOVE my punches and I don't have the patience nor time to hand cut, but I like the idea for those who don't have or don't want to purchase punches. I'f I didn't have my punches to use up all that scrap paper, I would be called a hoarder. I just subscribe! Keep up the good work!

Thank you so much!! I totally understand! I made this video, because I wanted to do all the pretty handmade embellishments, but I didn't have the money to buy the punches. Now I do have a sizzix big shot and oh how much I love that machine!! :D I also wanted to show that those things are not a must, you can still do it. I do agree with you that it takes a lot of time to do it like this. That is also why I invested in a sizzix and dies. Thank you so much for subscribing! I hope you will like my other videos too :D

Wow! Such creativity! I love your ability to take all those different shapes and designs and combine them into stunning embellishments. However, I'm thankful I have lots of punches because I'm basically lazy and don't like cutting, especially "fussy cutting" around images. You have so many great ideas....thank you!

And I rather bought paints and stamps LOL. Now I have a Big Shot, which I got from my friends for my birthday wooohoooo.. And I must say it is amazing!! It saves so much time lol! And cutting LOL!!!

I like your vid, very straight forward. I am doing a school project and I have no idea what designs to put I don't have those paper scraps because I don't do this often. Looks like Im using a magazine then 😗 I have a question though if that okay, what were those papers or cardboards called? I would like to get them for future needs

I just found your channel today. I love this video. I'm going to go make some in a bit. I went through a bad break up a while back and wasn't able to get anything out of my craft room. I had a room full. Including three Cricuts and a cuttlebug. Now I'm starting all over and I don't have a punch even. Thank you for this tutorial, very useful for those of us that don't have nor wish to buy tools to make embellishments. You have lots of great ideas, here :) Funnily enough, although I liked all of the individual parts, I liked none of the combinations you chose! :D But I'll probably be using the templates you shown us, just combining the patterns and colors differently ;)

Thank you so much for doing this video. I have many punches and many times have felt overwhelmed on what to do with so many possibilities. I find I don't do much because of it. Now I am downsizing and I think I forgot that I know how to use scissors to make basic shapes. I can do this. I know I can. I just have to stop listening to all of the hype about new products. I needed this video to remember to simplify.

i looked at my cereal box this morning after I watched your video. The printing on the outside was a bunch of shapes and I cut those out for templates. I got tags a banner, rectangles and a sun. Thanks again.

You can really cut your circles well! I gave up and bought a punch. I was surprised how expensive it was. I'd better practice cutting for other sizes. Any tips?

Oh thank you so much!! I do have 2 punches now. Cutting circles is a pain lol!!! When I cut circles I only move the paper, not my siccors and I do so very slowly :) I hope this helped you a bit

being french talking, i more or less understand ... so here is what i make of it (maybe not all is right but i do my best). She basically says that you have a lot of creativity, that she finds it great to use scrap of papers that way, because you're always end up with a lot of papers. I ran it through Google translate and it's Portuguese which I definitely don't speak, but this is what it said: I translumbrada so creativity. this tip of reusing pieces of paper sticking each other. I loved and I will do for sure because I have several roles. thank you for sharing this a great idea. worth thousands of likes. So not a perfect translation, but at least you can get the basic idea :) Google translate is super easy to use and free. You just copy and paste your word or phrase in the first box, and it will figure out the language and translate it in the second box. New subbie here. Hope that helps. I'm enjoying your vids!

Love your video. I am new to your channel. I am also just starting out and have slowly been adding tools. Didn't realize how expensive this can be, but I am enjoying myself a lot. I try to use up my scraps first before cutting into a new sheet of paper. I am so glad I came across your channel.

Debra Vinton hello Debra I just wanted to let you know that there are so many tools now days that you can get for fairly cheap look for coupons at michaels and joanns for adhesives and markers and stamops and stamp pads also if you have a Tuesday Morning close by check it out often for they usually have plenty of material at a very affordable price!!! Thats where ive gotten most of my supplies including paper pads and cutters spray paints and soo much more!!! Also youi can check out wish.com for amazing variety of dies and stamps too I hope this information helps!!!

absolutely perfect. thankyou so much. creative and fun recycling gave me loads of options i hadn't thought of. yesterday i used all the snipped off edges as 'confetti' in an abstract collage... also didn't know i was a paper hoarder...duh...like pens, and pencils, erasers, adhesives... we're all a hot mess. keep up the awesome vids.

Thank you!!! i dont use special glue for the buttons. Just the glue i use for everything lol. it is from a store called action. super cheap, but it sticks like crazy!!!
