Love the easy idea and the look of the clutch. Thanks for taking the time to make FREE video. I know this is not easy. I defo will make one and I'll add lining a metal zip. :)
This is so great! I have a skirt that I wanted to turn into a clutch (loved the fabric but too small to wear) and I think this will work! All I need is a lining to make it stiffer and possibly a snap closure
I like the idea, but I thought there would be more to it! I might try making one with a lining and hem the top. Otherwise I'd only wear it when I know I don't have to open it in public!
I don't know if hot glue will work... I mean, it can be kind of weak... try a really strong glue, like cement glue, or gorilla glue, or something like that...
Boat People Vintage what do you use to mark where to cut.... is it chalk or something else?? Please tell me my mom has bought fabric for me and I am very excited... especially for the up-cycling with my old clothes that don't fit me and with the clothes that are old... Boat People Vintage you guys have inspired me. Thank you!
I thought it was chic as well! I was looking for a purse that didn't cost a fortune so an illusion of a purse finished or not would definitely suit my needs!
I noticed some people wanted finished edges as well as a lining in this DIY so I have recreated Ari's wonderful DIY but added a lining and finished the top so if you're interested, my DIY video is now live on my channel! :)
14Aymara Very easily done. Just hem the top to finish the edges off. I'm going to try this DIY on a sewing machine instead of glue, so the top can easily be hemmed on a sewing machine or by hand. xx
