Video showing my experience pouring my own epoxy kitchen counters and sink. I used Black Mica Powder to make a dark base, and then I made accents from gold, copper, rose gold, and orange mica.
Recommended Supplies:
Epoxy Kit(s)
At least 3 containers for Resin, Hardener, and Final mix
Smaller containers or plastic cups for mixing batches of color accents
Paper, or drop cloth for controlling the mess
Masking tape (optional)
stir sticks (maybe 3)
Mica Colorant powder
depending on surface prep, orbital sander and discs (80 - 220 grit)
depending on finish, orbital sander and discs (400 grit - 2000 grit)
torch (first choice) for improving bubbles and porosity in the poured surface
heat gun (second choice) for surface finish improvement
timer
latex or other gloves
drill and mixing attachment
plastic scraper, or your choice of tool for spreading the epoxy evenly (preferably one wide (4 -5 inch width) and one narrow (2-3 inch width)
creative method for damming the sink drain (unless your do counters only)
razor for opening epoxy container seals, cutting tape, various other uses
