I have 2 of those stoves. First one I got in 1973. I carry a small candle and hold it under the stove for a bit. That builds up some pressure in the tank. Then, set the stove down and open the valve a little. The pressure from heating the bottom (fuel tank) lets the fuel flow out. Let it run down into the bowl at the base and shut off the valve. Light it and it will heat up the stem. Turn the valve back on and the heated fuel is vaporized and the stove is up and running. Just used it a couple of weeks ago when I woke up to a power outage and I needed to make some coffee

Beautiful sheath Tom. Like you the schools here are also closed so my son is home from his university. While he is home we have taken on two matching knife making kits from the Pathfinder School. The knives are nearly finished and it has been a fun father/son project. We’ll be needing to make custom leather sheaths next and your video has given me inspiration. Lovely leatherwork tom. I use the esee 6 over most of my knives these days it holds a brilliant edge and takes a hell of a beating. I made a sheath for it originally because im not a fan of plastic. But saved up for a custom made one after that. All the best Dave
