Hello, I saw this video by chance while zapping and I remained very interested in the project. I tested it and everything works wonderfully. Some small defects for the display so much that there is a possibility. So I say BRAVO because it's a genial clock. Congratulations to the designer..With a DHT22 The humidity display cuts a little that of the temperature. otherwise perfect
Hi! Ralph, Love your channel too & the detailed explanations. It indeed is a really nice n easy to use clock. However, in my case, whenever I try to do any changes to the Display page, date, time format or other settings, the dsiplay goes blank & font option also is no longer available. Initial booting text and custom message works fine. The clock display is restored only after a re-upload using erase all flash contents.
@@avinashsalaskar2118 hi , I received your email, it's a bug , I add a new font but forgot to add font settings on English web page , I have fixed it in version 2.5 , you can restart your clock , it will auto update to 2.5, or you can upload 2.5.bin manually.
@@felixfeng3055 Thanks for the prompt revert, it seems that the OTA has already taken place in my clock during a power cycle. Thanks once again for the same. I haven't tried doing any changes to the display settings page, but am sure that the fix should have taken care of it. I like the clock & sincerely appreciate your efforts. This is the first one of the matrix clocks that I was able to get up and running hence am very happy & thankful to you. Will be following you for some more great stuff in the future.
Thank you Felix. I was able to work this nice clock smoothly. However, even if the time difference was set to +9 hours in the WEB settings, it was actually only +8 hours, and I had to set it to +10 hours to match Japan time. The version is 3.1.
Hi Felix thanks for your excellent efforts for taking pain for such a wonderful project. I had assembled this project with your latest firmware and it is working fine.I have the following suggestions to implement in future updates. 1.If we are using the DHT series sensors, the temperature and humidity display can be limited to 2 digits for room temp and hum display without any decimal values (like the one that displays in openweathermap).The issue is, if decimal values like 26.1 is displayed, two digits are going out of the left most matrix OR modify the code such that for hum/temp section, there should not be a pause between the openweathermap and room temp display so that we can feel it as continuous scroll. 2.Code to display the detailed weather conditions like wind speed, sky and weather status in the scroll. Also I request you to make another simple project for driving WS2812B ring LEDs with ESP8266 for 60 ring LEDs to work as analog clock. Thanks in advance, All the best, Hareesh.

Thanks .. this one is more a request or a suggestion rather than an issue ... can you add an option to have customizable ip address .so that we can add a static ip address coz sometimes when network fails and reconnects the Ip address changes ...yes it shows ip address in the matrix at start up but there are also other devices [with preassigned ips] in the same network and there are clashes... So i request to add this feature in the future updates....

Can I get the source code? I would like to set all the settings hard because after the reset wemos d1mini returns to the initial settings - maybe it is a failed clone?

Works great, but there is no way to choose a +45 minute time zone, or UTC +14/+13 (Kiribati for example uses UTC +14, Nepal uses UTC +5:45 parts of New Zealand UTC +12:45/13:45). Also there should be a setting that can control the brightness over time (so that the clock automatically sets the brightness to for example 0 at 10PM/22:00 and to 1 at for example 8AM)
I also wanted to do that. It would make the custom text scroll so much more useful. I have seen other projects like this that had an adjustment for as many displays as you wanted, unfortunately, this project uses a .bin file that is not configurable. I have asked for this as an update myself, but get no reply. I can't blame Felix though, he obviously worked very hard on this software and probably doesn't want to share his hard work. He was making frequent updates, but those stopped awhile back. Probably busy with other projects :(

Shame there's no source code 😢 I would have liked to have considered this as a starting block for my project. I need to be able to receive, display and react to messages posted to an MQTT topic by my other IOT devices.
Agree... love the project and the efforts, but I won't touch anything without the source code these days just due to security concerns (as this is on my network).

Hello, there are still some areas in the code that need to be optimized. For example, I am going to change the configuration page to a more beautiful html5 page. Another point is that I use the OTA server to count the devices used. Once it is open sourced, I believe many people will delete this code. , I can no longer count the devices used

No need to open bin file just flash it on nodemcu. It works good. I also don't have idea yet to open bin file. I am just begun learning. See my video i uploaded. Same type. But easy.
