DIY Ferret Hideout  

This DIY hideout/bed is a favorite at our house. It was quick, easy and inexpensive to make and has lasted for years. When I made it in 2019, I had no idea how much the ferrets would love it. At this point it’s a permanent part of the ferret room decor. To make the hideout, I used a large hard plastic storage tote, a piece of PVC pipe (elbow or straight), something sharp to cut a hole in the tote and some fleece.
In the past I used a sheet or throw blanket for a top, but every time the ferrets would play on top, the sheet or throw would fall into the tote. So I decided to make a fitted cover, which has been a game changer. Now the ferrets playing on top, don’t come crashing into the ferrets sleeping inside!
