Finally someone using am interior bulge pump rather than and exterior Mount aeration pump!

Great video! Spray foam the lid and it will help keep things cooler. Ice chest are only insulated on the bottoms and sides, the lid is just hollow plastic. You just drill a couple holes on the under side and fill it with construction foam. There's some video on RU-vid that show how it's done.

I did something similar with an igloo 70 cooler. But I used an aquarium aerator with a long hose and large air stone about 6 inches round. The cooler was drilled to run the air line. I plugged it into an inverter connected to one of my trolling motor batteries. The inverter is in my glove box and the pump has a long deck screw mounted along the passenger console so it hangs suspended. Super quiet and works great. The inverter plugs into a 12 volt socket with battery clips. To turn on or off I just connect the positive lead. The cooler is big enough to lay in a 5 gallon bucket to fill and empty.

very nice job, although it would never work for shrimp when fishing salt water. I had to put my pump on the outside of the cooler because the pump heated the water and killed the shrimp. Looks like it will work well through. dan

Another cool addition would be a timer that as long as power is provided could turn on auto every 20 minutes or so between plug n pump that way u save even more battery.and i saw on bass master he had a coleman cooler that even had an flip lid on cooler lid so u only had to open small hatch instead of whole big lid that would be perfect.then just plug on hose with fitting to fit ur end pipe to empty cooler with that pump.better than most inboard livewells no holes in an expensive boat.i like that idea.snooky pa.

Alot of haters in the comment section as always. If they could do it better they wouldn't be watching your video. Yeah things can be done in different ways, but your way works the way you wanted it to. I think you did a great job on this project. As well as the evinrude/johnson outboard videos and the herritage revolver with the weaver rail is pretty damn sweet. Keep up the good work sir. I'll be watching.

I LIKE THIS. Could you also have this slid to one side of the boat and have a water pump hooked up and have it fill the tank and add another hole where the drain is at the bottom and put a pipe there and during the day just pump out and replace the water. You could disconnect the hoses on the outside (both sides) if you ever wanted to replace cooler ???? YOUR THOUGHTS

untidy construction, if you keep the lid closed with bait in it, they will consume the oxygen, so with no airflow your bait will suffercate so you will have to use your air pump as well

On the water and can't figure out how to fill it with water.... Duh you stop by the store on your way to the water and buy a case of bottled water and pour em in until full. Then if there's any left you will have something to drink. Keep the bottles though so when you done you can fill them back up with the water in the live well and use them again next time.
