Lake Burke musky!!! Gut gemacht Matt!!! One of my step daughters and I fished there last fall after her soccer game. Beautiful place, and we had a great time! No one, neither we or other anglers, caught anything that day, but we learned a lot. Nice to see someone catching fish there! When we're ready to fish there again, or at Lake Orange, I'll contact you!
Hey Matt, I’m a big live bait fisherman for freshwater stripers in Virginia, and another thing that we do that might be useful for filling your live well is adding a few more feet of hose and adding some longer wire for your pump and submersing your pump a few feet lower. It will be much cooler water down there then right on the surface. Another thing we do along with the ice bottles is find a place that sells ice that says no chlorine on the bag and you can dump the ice right in the live we’ll. One more thing if you do need to use ice that has chlorine or even ice bottles that are filled with city water may bust or lose there seal, so I add just a little bit of “prime” to my water and that will remove tap water chemicals. Oh and congrats on the ski at Burke Lake, not very many ever get caught there so congrats.
Damn --- So Good.......... better even the 2nd time around!!! Came back for the live well tutorial ------ LOL. What I didn't remember was the trollin' for musky dude" didn't remember that at all. But hell yeah dude--- you're so right............EPIC for sure. I remember some conversion, late 80's maybe early 90's, about trolling for musky and baits and so on ---- but with duck decoys behind the boat. OH Gosh ....... how you were a bit more controlled here than just the other day (the 50 state troll), I really honestly don't know. When it came up and took that ------ oh my, that top water action/dance...... Fantasy Stuff Matt ......... stuff dreams are made of. Nice call on it ---- it paid off big time.... Congrats on that.
As a guy who grew up fishing and loving Burke Lake, that catch is EPIC! Nice work, so glad to see you get that fish. I got a little chill watching you hook and land that thing, definitely nerve racking. You are the man, brother. Congratulations

That's a nice fish hopefully u get some more this yr. I caught my pb 4lb rainbow trout this yr n it totally reminded me of ur catch. It was a hectic act to get them caught but the feeling of landing such a beautiful fish is amazing
LET'S GOOOOO! Never been so excited/nervous watching a youtube vid before. Hope I get to fish with you on the third. I could use a little mini vaca from work. :)
Thx for the live well tips bud keep the tight lines goin!! I live in florida so a muskie is a must do on my bucket list. Awesome catch an still able to get that net out was amazing brother!
Next time when the a rod gets tangled in the net, just put the rod that your fighting the fish on in your mouth. I call that move the “Jimmi Hendrix”.! Great video. Beautiful fish. I need to take more video! That video motivated me for certain!
Who cares how big it was. That may friend is a gift from the muskey gods for all the hard work and for taking such good care of all the fish you catch.
Another awesome video Matt! I had something bite me off while trolling a plug when I was little. The Stars were aligned for u that day the way your net was all tangled up. Great stuff!
Truly one of the greatest fishing moments of my life. So happy the net came untangled. The rod it was wrapped around was my $500 daiwa steez and I really didn’t want to break it! Haha
Love the videos. It's nice seeing someone without a 50k bass boat doing videos. I have a boat set up alot like yours. If you are ever around Atlanta Georgia hit me up. . Ill take you on one of the lakes around here.
Just subscribed! Great video Brother! I have two of these coolers. One is to make a live well. Sportsman’s warehouse has stainless steel latches and hinges. I bought a set for both my coolers like this! Now I really have to get the one turned into a Live well! Thanks for the great video. Stay Safe
I'm going to tell you a little of what you went through out in the northwest it weighed 55 and it was a henshe was full of eggs and if I kept it that would have been a lot of little salmon that wouldn't have been but because I turned it looseI ended up with the pictures of it and that's the memories that I have was you you have the video and that is what is awesome you can always go back and look at and know that you did the
I was thinking about using a couple of the self contained units like quite bubbles or similar? Was planning on rechargeable batteries and a couple solar charger panels? Just wondering what you think? Great Muskie!!!
