You could try using lavender flowers in this recipe for a sleep pillow. Lavender comes in several varieties but English Lavender seems to produce the most fragrant oil IMO.
Can I make aloevera hydrosol using the same method and make gel using the hydrosol? Will it have the same benefits of making gel using aloevera juice(the juice of inner pulp)?
Hey Elise! Great video! I had a question! Sometimes I find that hydrosols smell like nothing! I made a batch of lemongrass hydrosol and it dosent quite smell like lemongrass :/ What did I do wrong?
Great questions, unlike with lotions and most water-based products, properly made hydrosols can last refrigerated for several months without a preservative, however they can be prone to contamination. If it's not for personal use, I would recommend adding a preservative to be on the safe side. Thanks for watching! 😊
So are you boiling the water with the flower a second time? The first boil, is to get the floral water collected in the bowl(steam) Then the second time you boil, you’re boiling the flowers and water again? And are you setting the first bowl of steam water aside? I’m following along and I feel like a step was missed or I’m not comprehending lol

Use that water in the bottom on your hair or skin or add lemon and honey and drink it as a tea. You can even blend it and use it as a rinse off mask. Don’t throw it out.
