Hi friends! Some of you have been asking for Focal Bead wraps, so here is another cute and easy one! Just something quick, beginner-friendly, and fun for your TOP SIDE DRILLED focal beads! I am using 12 inches of 18g, square, soft wire for the frame. 2 x 12 inches of 22g, soft, round wire for the embellishments, and 2 tiny copper beads for the accent. It's a musical step-by-step tutorial but so easy to do and I left the video in real-time so you can follow along easily. Hammering is optional. I hope you enjoy it!
NOTE: The focal bead hole is large enough to take a 22 gauge wire so I tie it on using one of the embellishment wires. If your bead has a smaller hole, then you can sub with smaller round wire such as 24 or 26 gauge to tie on the main bead. You can still add 22g, round wire for the curly accents! There are stopping points along the video so you can go as simple or as curly as you like. Have fun! This works great for most large focal beads that have a side to side hole. This one is top side to side but center side to side and drilled crystal points also work in this wrap! Have fun!

Thanks so much, Gumnut! There are some days when personal reasons happen and I just don't have my voice, but I do still have to work, so the music is a nice thing in between my times. Plus some folks do learn better without my voice in play so, I try to have videos with both. I always appreciate your kind and considerate input! Thanks for watching!

Thank you so much for another AMAZING tutorial!!!!! You’re so incredibly talented!! Could you possibly do a front top drill focal? Thanks for taking the time to show us you’re awesome ideas and tips! ❤❤❤❤

Thank you, Andrea, if I find a stone with a front drill, I will do a tutorial... having said that... You can treat those like a cabochon and capture the stone like the hole isn't there. Then just either cover it up with some curly cute stuff or thread a tiny cute bead directly into it and tie the tiny wire onto the back frame wires somewhere. If you try to support the pendant on that single hole at the top of your bead using a wire through it for bale... over time, chances are, the stress of movement on a wire going through that hole and behaving like a bale, might cause the tip of the stone to pop off. A stable front drill depends on many things, including what type of stone it is... so rather than fight that hole, I just mostly cover them up if I use that type of stone... but I will try to do one for you. Thanks again!

I love this design, unfortunately I don't have any drilled stones. I'm gonna go poking around some 2nd hand shops and a local rock shop I found and see what I come up with. Really love the hammered look, really cute piece. Just wanted to let you know this didn't come up in my members playlist.

Thanks, Caro! The best part is that beads normally come in strands so when you shop, check the bead stores. Have fun!

YAY! Another hole-y focal tutorial! I really like what you did at the top of this one... with the 2 ends for the chain to slide thru... very unique!

Thanks, Tree Sa! These have been fun and easy and needed for me this week too. It's a nice reminder to just enjoy wire and the ease of a beautiful focal bead too. ;D I appreciate you!
