A ice cream hack my late mom taught me when dealing with hard or frozen solid ice cream is to dip the spoon, scoop, or whatever you're using to get the ice cream out in very hot water. Like scalding hot water and that creates a "hot knife through butter" effect into the ice cream.

If you want to separate your batter evenly, then use a Ice cream scooper. It works, me and my grand mother bake ALL the time. Hope you use the tip!

Rachel, a soft peak is when you're mixing the cream and when you pull out the whisk etc. where you pull it out the cream makes a little mountain.

Rachel, I am 11 and I make homemade whip cream all the time. Usually you need to put the mixer on high with a rag over it for like 3 minuets. Plus when they say soft peaks, it means whip cream.
