oh wow!!! These are amazing! It's relatively hard to find someone to make these engravings around here, but definitely worth it!!! Just got into DMing and I've been dying for a wooden screen haha one day, one day! But keep going with the videos, they're awesome!
Good job at disguising a nerd gaming video as a woodworking video....and this comes from the heart, as I was an avid D&D'r in the 80s, and an avid woodworker now...
Hi Casey thanks for the comment, Yes with the full build with laser engraving you need some special equipment but the basic screen can be made with standard woodworking tools . A tablesaw, clamps, drill and sander. That is why we gave some options for different artwork for the front. These days a lot more people have lasers too and there may be someone local who could laser engrave a front for a small fee.
Hi Frankie, Those are images I licensed from an Artist for my own use so I do not have the rights to redistribute them. You can check out Printable Heroes website and you may be able to find what you are looking for there.
That one was a collaboration with a customer. He came up with the original idea which we have tweaked a little. I agree it is a cool look. The artwork, like the Door Mimic, was done by the guys at Printable Heroes and we came to an agreement with them to use their artwork, they have some outstanding DND artwork available and I recommend checking them out.
Yes you can certainly do it by hand. If you want to do it in wood there are lots of RU-vid videos on Wood Burning teaching you how to do it. If you have a good flat surface you can also just draw it with markers or trace it (if, like me, you do not have a drawing talent)
