That was a trust the process kind of video. They came out ok but the fact the were so lumpy the whole time was cringy. Might be bc I'm a nail tech. I suggest creating a tip first than overlaying a layer to the nail bed and tip, than building from there. Use a lining brush to get close to the edges and to level the product where needed. This really looked harder than the application really is but it was ok.

I agree that using a liner brush can help with more precision and a cleaner appearance. However, everyone has their own style when it comes to laying the gel. @@PolishedPerceptions the end result is what matters. These came out beautifully. I’m not a nail tech but I watch tons of vids on gel nails cuz I do my own and there are so many different techniques. You need to do what is best for you. I’ve seen pro’s on here do it many different ways. Personally I use a paper form, layout the tip on the form then go back and do the cuticle. I’ve also seen people do the entire thing in one shot on a form. There is no “right way”.
