I give you an overview in the video, but a written step by step tutorial can be found here: www.ibuildit.ca/other%20projec...
I ran into a free piece of glass with my company's logo sandblasted into the back, so I took it home and started to figure out how to turn it into a waterfall.

Those were my early days in building, some even before I started videoing building videos. They were just summary of what I built. Thanks for watching.

My favorite part of this video is when you turn off/back on the water and the light, then you smile and just enjoy and admire your handiwork! I love that part! Great job on the build!! You SHOULD be proud! (And so should your Mother!)

THANK YOU, APRIL!! I was going to buy a fountain for my entry foyer but could not find one with the design I wanted. I decided I would have to make it myself but had little knowledge about doing it. I started looking at videos for some instruction - all done by men - they were cool but either I didn't feel confident because there were aspects they did not go into or it seemed they over complicated it which made me feel like there was something I wasn't getting. THEN I FOUND YOU! I said, "Great! A woman! I bet I'll get it now! She'll break it down for me where it will all come together. And sure enough, you did not disappoint. I know I can do this now thanks to YOU!

What you said at 5:30; To point the holes upward. I actually learned that by looking at the back of a zamboni one day at a hockey game. I had noticed they were pointing up and wondered why for a moment until it dawned on me. I found it simple and clever

April, (and others doing a fountain build) a way to make pump adjustment much easier will require only two more plumbing fittings, a tee and a valve. You’ll be creating a “bleeder valve” to adjust flow rate going to the distribution tube. Please note, the following will all be under water in the sump. On the outlet (pressure) side of the pump, plumb in a tee. On one branch of this tee plumb in the valve, the other branch of the tee runs to the distribution pipe. By adjusting this (underwater) valve open or closed it “bleeds” the water flow reaching the distributor tube, thus also adjusting the pressure at the distributer. You’ll want a deliberately oversized pump and then you can drill as many holes as you want in the distributer tube, adjusting this bleeder valve to get your optimum flow. Nice build by the way!

Your waterfall video is very interesting and well done. I looked at the detailed instructions and decided to build one. I will be using it on our deck sheltered by a large roof overhang. I plan to use composite material for durability. I will modify wiring to exterior codes. My wife will create the design. Thanks. Your short appreciation video shows your fine character.

Great video! We’re considering doing one of these in a room divider in our home and yours is the best tutorial type video we’ve found on the subject. Thanks for that! One thing to note is that a problem we’ve found with the glass-etching cream is that it really isn’t strong enough to effectively etch anything that’s been tempered. Even leaving it on overnight doesn’t leave much of an impression, so if somebody is super dedicated to the sandblasted logo element, it might be worth finding someone to do it or exploring other, stronger options. Obviously not everyone is going to need to use tempered glass, especially in this situation, but if you’re using a recycled tabletop or you’re putting it somewhere where kids, dogs, or wayward items can go through it, tempered is the safest option, and etching cream may not do what they’re looking for.

I commented on your arched mirror frame a day or two ago and I thought I had seen all your videos. I had not watched this one...it is really cool and shows a lot of patience and ingenuity. I just took out a door on a job that has a Jalousie window in the center of it and I want to make a lighted Japanese floor lamp with the glass from the door. I was wondering how to frost the glass without sandblasting it. Your tip on the craft store product may save me a lot of time. I thank you. Keep on doing what you do! Thanks.
