The tubing was 2" waste pipe bought at local hardware store,The pump i bought online somewhere at the cheapest price i could find,You can pause the vid for the pump model info @ 33 seconds

This is a GREAT Video... you just need to make sure your spelling and editing is correct so it can look as professional as you the Glass Waterfall....
Hello Strucknuts. First I would like to say what a fantastic waterfall build you did. I have a few questions for you on the build and materials. 1. I see the lumber you used for the frame, but what are the silver/gray and the black framed pieces? 2. How far did you stop drilling the water holes in the PVC from the edge of the glass, and what angle did you find best to sit them at? 3. Do you have up close pictures of the shelves and blue slate that you used to cover the mixing bath. 4. Did you record the build or step by step procedures as you built this. Please let me know. ***** Hi thanks for the comment, 1. The silver/gray and black pieces were part of a aluminium frame with rubber strips that came with the glass, that i salvaged from a skip. I appreciate that this is going to be hard for most people to find, as i was lucky, But all this was doing was basically sandwiching the piece of glass into place either side of the glass, this could be achieved with two pieces of wood with some silicon to seal it in. 2. I used Y junctions for the outlets (you can just about see in the video 1.25) Drilling holes just ended up with a random water spray and then the pipe would be no good afterwards. I had to play around with the spacing to get the best flow of water, Which is why using the Y or T junctions worked best for me as you can move the distance between each on by adding longer or shorter lengths between each one. As for distance from the edge, I guess it will depend on how much water is coming out of each outlet to get an even flow of water across the glass. The best angle i found was with the outlet almost flat up against the glass, The reason for this being that if i didnt do that most of the water would come out the first few outlets and getting less water out as it went along (hope that makes sense?) 3. All the footage i have is in the video im affraid, the shelves were made by fixing a small batten about 2" below the top of the frame, then i cut some plywood out to fit neatly inside, put some polythene inside and then cover it with the blue slate. 4. ***** Sorry my friend i dont have anymore pictures or video on the waterfall, and i no longer have access to it anymore, but it was a pretty straight forward process to do the shelves and make them removable.
The reason i went for the 75 watt pump was because of the height i had to pump the water, It was around about eight feet in height. I wanted to make sure i had enough water coming out rather than just a dribble,i did actually have a valve on the side to control the flow of water down a bit. So i guess the idea was to go slightly bigger as i can always turn it down, and not regret buying a smaller one and finding out it wasn't enough. It all depends on what height you are pumping the water. Hope this helps
+lifeshort In the 6 to 8 months i had it running late summer/winter, it wasnt too much of an issue. Occasionally give the glass a clean.Unfortunately i had to move out after the new year and was unable to take the waterfall with me, so i cant give you an answer for the long term, but id expect you probably would need some type of algae inhibitor at some point even when the many body of water was undercover and not in direct sunlight
