+MATERIALS | Craft pumpkins, liquid leaf, paint brush
*The liquid leaf I used was by the brand "Plaid" and cost about $4.60. Other brands offer the same product either called "liquid leaf" or "liquid gilding."
+TIPS
-Don't squeeze the pumpkins like I did. They're kind of flimsy and you'll punch holes in them! Oops.
-Don't leave the wet paint in contact with newspaper. Little bits of newspaper will stick to the surface and ruin the pumpkin.
-Gold acrylic paint is not as good as gold leaf. I paid $5 for a jar of gold leaf. I paid $2 for the acrylic paint. Though the acrylic paint is cheaper, you'd have to use a lot more of it to get the same opacity (and it doesn't ever really look as metallic).
