O my stars northern! I have to agree with you! As much as I love this cut, I would absolutely butcher it! My mother always told me never cut your own bangs - well, ya know🫣🤭... but definitely would show my hairdresser that I would love this cut. Your hair and cut look lovely. I have tried many times at salons to ask for what you achieved at home in your bathroom. A layered, textured, over directed short layers for volume and end up with 2-3 inches cut off the ends and a shallow angle cut. So still have lots of hair like you had that I really wanted cut off. I am so not confident to cut myself. Great video.

Yes it does! I actually think it makes the CARE look thicker when you have thin hair and it’s just flat and it’s stays against your head. There’s no volume or anybody in that hair. You need to put some layers in there to pick the hair up so it actually has volume in it.

When you drag the hair before you cut it what does that do instead of combing straight up then cutting?

It’s called over directing, and it will change the ends that layers them a little bit more

If your hair is too thin you gotta try it I feel like layers give you more volume and more body. That’s my personal opinion for all my years of experience.

Well layered hair creates more fullness, so you need to find a stylist who know how to do fine hair well. I learned in high school on my boyfriend mother’s hair when I was 15 because she had super fine hair and I learned how to make her hair fuller and I always layered it and it looked so much better.

Even if you take all that hair up and put it on an angle from your nose going up to the ceiling, maybe you can sly layer it, but you’re not gonna keep all your hair in front of you on the top as if it was in a ponytail

Yes of course, you would probably need to do a really great face frame and you have to do a lot of sly layering through that hair if you want to keep it that long but you could have some and if it’s super thin, you probably want to go alot shorter

I feel like this is actually a "real" hair cut. Seems most stylists today only know "formulas" for cutting. Not much imagination or artistry to it.
