Hello...I wanted to tell you that I’ve been using that same brand of henna for about 10 years with great results. Since I do it monthly, I only apply it to the roots. I applied it your way for many years but a faster/easier way is to use a color applicator bottle, with the henna thin enough that you can squirt it out of the bottle. Then part your hair, run a line of henna along the part, part again, and continue. Rub the henna in a little bit afterward and cover your hair with a shower cap, as it can get slightly drippy. Works a treat. Also, your skin is absolutely amazing. Whatever you’re doing, keep it up! Thank you for the lovely video,
I'm so glad you affirmed using a color applicator bottle works. I didn't have one at home when I made this video and we were on lock down so I couldn't go get one. I'm going to use it next time. :)
You are so gorgeous. I appreciate your showing us an alternate way of coloring hair that is natural and very effective. I think the results are phenomenal. Your hair looks quite nice. Thank you for sharing this information with us.
You are such a beautiful lady! I’ve been using henna for at least 5 years and have tried probably 3 types. I have a medium/dark red hair that has been going white at temples and a bit throughout. I hate not being a full redhead so I turned to henna. I’ve also mixed darker henna with just the natural red since grays pickup the red color and look more orange. It’s an experiment some times. It has to be done every month although you can wait as long as you want. I wrap a plastic shopping bag around my head to keep it moist.
Queen, did God just drop down and send you to me? I have lupus and fibromyalgia. My last attempt at dying my frontal gray hair landed me in the hospital. I looked like somebody beat me to death. I saw you talk about coloring gray hair the natural way. Oh, I am all in, I will be following you forever. Thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you! ❤❤💃🏾💃🏾😊 😊 I'm so happy. 😘 Bless you!
I'm so sorry to hear you had a reaction to hair dye. We don't need any issues given our auto immune disorders so I'm so happy you saw this video. I started not to record it, but I'm so happy it has been helpful. Bless you and welcome!!!
Hair dye though with a little bit of natural products in it could be what is messing with my hair!!!! Breaking it off. Oh yes, you r VERY BEAUTIFUL. THX FOR THIS INFO. I used to buy henna decades ago ; was great ❗❗👍🏾
Looks wonderful. I'm 51 and have been using semi permanent hair dye but for whatever reason, it's breaking my gray hair off in the front. I will be trying henna in the next week or so. Great video
@@Dippmip oil usually makes it wash out quicker. You can oil your middle and ends but wait until you style it or wash it again. I don’t use silicone anymore either. Doing curly girl method.
I love Henna and Indigo 💕 I also struggle with gray hairs on my roots and edges. And it's a naturally way to cover the grays. I mixed mine with black tea and added essential oils and only applied to my roots and loved it 💕 It COVERED all my GRAYS. I stored what I did not use in the freezer for the next use. Your hair came out beautiful...it did the job we both was looking for and in a healthy naturally way 💕
@@MissUnique2584 I leave it on 2-3 hours. You have to keep it moist by wrapping it either in a shower cap or plastic bag or wrap. When you start using it and become familiar with it on your hair, you’ll feel more comfortable. I mix mine with coffee. If your hair is dark, you’ll be using mainly indigo possibly mixed with henna lawsonia (red). Companies premix or you can buy them and mix your own ratio.
Thank you for doing this tutorial. It’s just what I have been praying for. I have way more grey than you had. Just the hair style I’ve been trying to get for the past month. God Bless you.
Never did I believe you were in your 50s. Not even remotely close! You are doing an amazing job! I also love using henna and add coffee which makes the results darker (dark red/brown). Blessings!
Oh my goodness 50!!! You ma'am are so very blessed, Beautiful. I am 48 and I look like I could be your grandma. LOL, Thank you for sharing your experience with Henna. Had my hair trimmed yesterday and my husband commented on how grey I am, my stylist was like shh, that a no no. Have a blessed week.
Thanks for the ideas. Your hair looks so good. And shines too.Final results so pretty. You do not look even look 40 or even 50. Where do I buy the henna product you used..?
I let my hair grow grey, my skin still very smooth, I keep my self in good shape...when a sister woman ask me "who did my hair"? I said: God. Believe I'm so happy (one thing less to worry about it)
If only we can get our sister women, young adults, teens, and adolescents (males too) to know that our hair is like OUR Heavenly Father's hair, woolly, and we're in His image. If we were only taught that earlier, the TRUTH, without the oppressor's indoctrination of demonic Christianity, would be no self hate and plenty of unity and love amongst our brethren. And, Yes Sis, she did an excellent hair coloring process with the henna and looks gorgeous and with beautiful skin. Peace and blessings.
You look really young for almost 50. Thank you for this video, I have been wanting to see if there was something else I could use to cover my disrespectful (lol) grey hair. Hair color is so harsh and if you don't know how to cover the new without covering what has already been done you can ruin your hair. Happy New Year and thanks again.
Hannah is a really good dye and grow the hair out and if you have headaches will go away with Hannah that’s how good it is and it safe to use it’s all natural ingredients
I always used henna to color my hair before I had any gray. I loved the color because it mostly showed up so beautifully in the sun. It leaves no demarcation line when growing out, It conditions your hair and adds thickness. The only negative was washing it out. You have to wash it several times to get it out. If you have a spray attachment on your faucet that makes it easier.
50???!!!!!!!!! Guuurrrrlll U look half your age! I don't mind going grey, however I'm in the beginning stages of it. So i just have several strands here and there primarily up front and honestly it looks like I have lint in my hair. Sooooo...I might be giving henna a try also. Thanks for the demo. Yours came out really nice.
After you prep your henna did you let it sit overnight before you applied the henna to your hair? Just curious to know because some people let it sit overnight. Loved the video 😊
Didn't it stain you skin and how did you remove it? Im a messy person and always end up with dye around my ears, forehead, temple etc. Using boxed dye I just rubbed my skin with a damp wash cloth after I shower and usually comes out fairly easy. I've never used henna before and I think it's time to make the switch as Im losing hair, a lot of it from all the chemicals over the years (I started growing gray hair at 16).
Thanks for this video I really appreciate your your efforts on the research and the good out come. Please what did you add to henna that makes your hair curly.
I'm glad you like the video. I have natural hair so I didn't add anything to make my hair curly. I wash, condition, apply a leave in and gel. Is that what you're asking about?
THANKS for making this video! I've been using a semi-permanent color, but it has started making my scalp itch, so I've been looking for an alternative & had FORGOTTEN about henna. I henna'ed my hair once a couple of decades ago and it made my (already thick) hair so thick that I couldn't do anything with it - I was thinking maybe I did something wrong. Did it thicken your hair a lot? Any "cons" to using it?
Hey Nicole! You have always had beautifully thick and gorgeous hair. At this point, I am enjoying the results of using henna. I can't say the henna had made my hair thicker. It's been curlier and shiny. How long had you been using it before you noticed it made your hair thicker? The only con is application. It can be messy. Otherwise, I love it, but will definitely keep you posted.
@@NoLyeNapturallyMe Heyyy Ladon! It felt thicker IMMEDIATELY after rinsing it out - like each strand was coated and made thicker and more wiry. Maybe I'll grab this brand and see how it goes. My hair is short now (except bangs) so if it goes left I only have to live with it until the next haircut. lol Your experience with it makes me hopeful! Thanks again. Btw, you look GORGEOUS!
Hey I just saw your video. I am turning 50 in three months. I tried the henna a while now and my problem is the henna left some of my greys with a dirty brown look so my hair has the dirty gold/brown look and I hate it. Did you experienced that after a while with the henna?
I stumbled on your video today. The same day I used Henna on my hair this morning. My hair colored in twenty minutes and is very soft and some-what curly now. But I wet set it in curlers. Yours has a beautifully natural curl. My sister did it for me years ago and it lasted awhile. I like that there is no Amonia.
Hi is this henna made in france also for very dark hair i would like to cover the grays but certain hennas gives orange or red undertones which henna does not please let me know thank you
I use Henna when I had a little grey coming through and it turned my grey hair a copper-red color. Henna never turned my grey hairs black. They say to turn it black you need to use Indigo alone with the Henna.
Yes...my hair over time looks more copper. However my initial results were what you saw. The packaging says it has a little indigo in it. I'd like to try using henna and other ingredients for a darker result one day.
Hello ladies where do I purchase this henna hair color powder producIs it in the hair store or Walmart or both & how much do it cost & how long does it last? Please Thank you for sharing Sis🙏🏽❤️ Also love you don't look almost 50 you are beautiful, people tell me that I don't look 50 & I say Thank you I get those genes from my Grandma & my Mama lol Take care everyone....PS.Even with gray hair we are still beautiful Queens 👑 God bless you All🙏🏽❤️❤️❤️
Have you experienced any kind of dryness after after using henna? I’v been using indigo to color my hair and I find it to be quite drying on my hair , especially a few weeks after using the powder.
Thank you 😊 like you I have become overly sensitive to anything unnatural . My most recent issue has been gluten sensitivity and hives - so I just knew I would never dye my hair the traditional way. Not to mention I once had to treat a woman whose head literally was swollen almost twice the size after using a grocery bought regular Black dye ! Her face & scalp was unrecognizable- she was trying to dye her locs ! Anyway I just turned 50 and like you said “ these grey hairs are disrespectful!😂. I will look out for this product /Henna and consider trying it . Ps in Nigeria 🇳🇬 I grew up watching girls put it on their skin and older women did use it in their hair . Roots 😊
SAME! Gluten sensitivity gang. LOL. I've had to give it up completely. About 7 years ago I noticed how my body responded to it. So I began to exclude it from my diet. I love the fact that there are so many wonderful gluten free options these days. I'm so sorry to hear about what happened to the woman who used the box dye. I hope she recovered without too many issues. I think you'll love the henna. In Nigeria, did they use henna to create designs on their skin or for some other purpose. So fascinating! Thanks for commenting and welcome!
@@NoLyeNapturallyMe in India women use it during weddings n festivals n especially brides put on their hands n arms n feet too ..it looks so beautiful❤ I love it
Hi, can you please tell me if we don’t need to use indigo after this henna, because every time I use henna on my grays they turned orange and then I have to wash it out and then use indigo, it’s such an overwhelming and long process for me so I’ve tried box hair dye but it damaged my fine hair. I’d really appreciate if you could reply. Thank you and take care.
This brand has a bit of indigo in it. My results were as seen. The only "orangish" color i had was one some dyed ends but I suppose results could vary. I believe they suggest a patch test. Hope this helps.
I use to love coloring my hair reddish/orange with henna. I'd mix mine with aloe vera juice so my hair wouldnt feel so dry afterwards. I stopped because I noticed more shed hair while using it.
@@NoLyeNapturallyMe I would henna my hair twice during the summer and that's it. I just wanted the color during the months I rocked WnGs. It looked especially pretty in the sun! I purchased from Henna Sooq and the color is Red Raj. I only used art grade henna because it's more pure and the color is richer. It did turn my grey into a more metalic version of the color it gave the rest of my hair. I guess that was because my greys are literally silver lol. It looked really cute like that tho.
@@mzwandablessedbythebest2228 you probably were using it too frequently or not moisturizing properly. Hannah is a protein which really strengthens & if you don't moisturize at the right time & with the right products, the hair becomes brittle and breaks easily check out Henna Sooq here on RU-vid. She's from the Mid-East and a professional stylist who dyes with Henna who give lots of great tips as well.
I randomly clicked on your video and I recognized that box, I have bought that exact same henna brand, procrastinating using it it's sitting in my room unused this video might be what I needed to finally use it 😊😊
You have a gap like me, love you already!!! Great results, I’ll try using Henna alone to get your results. I use it with other herbs and ingredients as a treatment.
The henna I get turns my grays a copper color. Looks like a reddish highlights. But the rest of my hair looks dull afterwards. Btw - I do a henna gloss (mixing henna with conditioner)
Have you tried adding more indigo? Over time the greys will look more like highlights. For sheen I add spray aloe juice to my hair to lay down the hair cuticle. That helps to enhance sheen. Of course it's important to note that not all hair has a natural gloss, but it's still healthy. :)
Thank you soooo much! This was right on time for me! Girl, we are the same age and have the same areas of gray...so I immediately ordered. I hope this works for me. Your results are beautiful. I wonder how long it lasts...thanks again! ❤️
I'm so glad this was right on time for you! I will keep you posted. I'm curious to see how long it lasts as well. In the past, it lasted a long time. It did lighten over time.
