You are taking high fidelity audio to the masses. Lots of respect for you. The woofer that you used employs aluminium wire voice coil. I have used them in installation projects. They sound fabulous as single driver box. I too tried making two way bookshelf with them. But, they sounded thin with a dome tweeter. Compared to copper wired woofers, these woofers lack weight and thickness in low frequency response. I want to share my experience- use copper coil woofer as a base driver in a two / three way projects.

As an audio engineer, I can say 3 way speaker system hard to build perfectly to get warm sound signature or other. Everything must be calculated ( T/s parameter) and midrange must have separate enclosure. And distance b/w every speaker should taken correctly. Most important is Passive crossover which also hard to build perfectly to make perfect freq. response to driver. Simple capacitor, inductor,resistor placing together cannot make crossover.

The midrangers need to be housed in a separate enclosure in order to prevent sound pressure from the woofer interfering with the midrangers. The woofer too looks like a dual cone .
