@ALinsdau, This DIY Ski Boot Punch tool is AWESOME!, BRILLIANT!. I spent 50 years in Boots which never truly gave me a great fit (especially around my wide foot with bunion). Costly boot fitters never really got the job done. With a $25 trip to Harbor Freight (Large C-Clamp) and $16 to Home Depot (PVC parts...already had the heat gun and "Optional" Inferred Thermo reader), my boot fitting is solved. @ALinsdau, you are a wizard.
Might give this a try on the cheap. An A for creativity! I was thinking about simply taping some hard rubber to the liner where my monkey foot hotspots are, put on 2 pairs of socks then heat the shell while booted in. Seems to me that outward pressure has to mimic an old school boot punch.
