This punching bag weight about 20-30kg, but keep in mind guys that you can do it much bigger and heavier than mine, just put 3 carpets instead of 2. You can put another metal hook in the bottom of punching bag and make it in a double end punching bag. Just use your imagination and improvise my friends ;)

Best DIY Punch Bag Ever! Simple, Effective, and Creative (A suggestion, add another O screw at the bottom aswell so you can latch the bag to a weight or something heavy to keep the bag from moving if needed). Great Job and Great Video!

I followed this and made one that is longer for Thai boxing. Been close to two years and works great. I leave hanging outside and have no problems with rain etc. Solid bag.
All i can say is damn, that's nice. I have a heavy bag already but want a heavier one. What i may do is put alternate layers of carpet and the foam padding that goes under the carpet when it's installed. This bag i am sure is indestructible. Thank you!
If you put some sand in a bag or freely in the bottom of the punching bag it will keep it more stable in the lower part and it won’t fly around so much. Just seal the sand with extra bags otherwise it will start pouring from the bottom.

I love the idea. Dont love the screws at the end. That could really jack you up if you hit or kick one.. maybe shrink wrap and or duct tape at the end would be good. Thank you for the idea!
Thanks you you saved me some monies, im going to try adding a layer of fill like old clothes or some cheap soft material make another layer with garbage bags and seal it up with tape. Seems legit.
I would suggest adding an eye bolt to the bottom as well and connect a chain or rope to the bottom and connect it to your floor for better stability. Right now it's so light weight that when you hit it, it is all over the place. Too bouncy without the extra stability. Nice job overall
