I attach a rope to the stern of the boat. Which I then attach to a tree or car. Backing up the trailer on a small board with a block so that the boat is raised at the stern. Builds a cribbing under the boat. Drive forward so that the hull ends up on the cribbing. And the rope attached to a tree/car keeps the boat in place. Move the board with a block under in front of the wheels of the trailer drive slowly forward so that the bow is raised. Build a cribbing front part of the boat. Drive slowly forward over the tilting board. So the boat ends up cribbing. And do the procedure backwards when you want the boat on a trailer. Your method works, but attach a rope to the stern of the boat and then to a tree/car so you don't have to pull and push the boat.

I initially wanted to do that but there wasn't a solid tree directly behind where the boat was so I decided to go with the push/pull route lol. Thanks for sharing your experience!

Jesus Jose. Y’all about gave me a heart attack just watching this lol those roller trailers are a nightmare. I seen a guy who had an older outrage drop his whole boat down the ramp with those rollers. I’m sure he got rid of that trailer too

Lol, I took a lot of safety precautions.

Shit I back the boat in the water then loaded up on the other trailer what's wrong with that

At the time of this video that option wasn't available to us.

Ive done very similar to this. The one difference is I lowered the tongue jack all the way then stacked the cribbing under the stern. After that, crank the jack up and the stern is supported up off of the trailer.

I did a video on that method as well but didn't take the trailer out like in this vid, just lifter it off the trailer. The trailer jack method definitely works!

Thanks for this video. We've got a 13' Whaler on a trailer with a broken axle, in our yard. It cannot be towed to water. Shopping around for a new trailer and will then be doing this very same thing.

nice done! do you think your metod will work with a bigger boat? ( 20 ft walkaround w/o engine, around 2200 lbs)

I don't see why it wouldn't work just take some precautions and be careful.

I'm thinking of doing the same thing but with a twist, I'm going to hook a strap to the eyes on the transom secure it to a tree and pull the trailer out

I do believe that would work but be careful as to not hurt yourself or damage the boat. Good luck!

I was thinking floating would be easier if you were close enough to a ramp, but I would've done it in a similar way, using what I had on hand. Regardless, thanks for sharing and I'm glad it workedout!

There are several much easier ways to accomplish this task. Why you chose the most hardest way beats me. But I definitely enjoyed the video. I sat here with my palms sweating. I do this often with two of my boats and sheesh it takes me half the time and literally no effort.

You should put up a video showing the way you do it, sounds interesting.
