This tutorial shows techniques that are not invented by us. We want to say thank you to all members of the water rocket community who made it possible to build water rockets like that, thanks to their creativity and great ideas. We want to honor the minds behind this ideas and have created an area at the tutorial section of our website with a list of references.
A huge thank you goes to George from AirCommandRockets, who does not only build fantastic rockets but also helped us with optimizing the english version of this tutorial. Check out AirCommandRockets' RU-vid channel:

SAFETY GUIDELINES AND DISCLAIMER:
To succeed with the construction of a water rocket, you will have to work very precisely and carefully. Especially some of the adhesives and resins are pretty dangerous. Thus, please wear gloves when working with adhesive or epoxy and don‘t breathe in the gases. It is recommended to work outside whenever toxic gases could develop. The launch of a water rocket may needs permission from the competent authority, depending on your location. You need the permission of the landowner if you launch on foreign territory. Please wear safety goggles when pressure testing or launching your rocket. Keep a safe distance to the pressurized rocket. One of the bests tutorials about water rockets. Thanks 👍

Well done! Very good explanation. It's also fun to see how different places around the globe have different materials and different shaped hardware.

Thanks USWR! :) I know you use a lot more PVC components (which are not available in many European countries) instead of fittings in the US. What components are different otherwise? Cheers Julian

Very well explained as usual. Your system is very ingenious and seems stable but can be a little complicated to build for me

Hi,great video guys, I built the launcher but I’m having a problem. After a launch or two at 120 PSI the tie raps move up the copper pipe, I’ve tired tightening the jubilee clip but it still seems to be moving, any advice? Thanks

Hello, I am a follower of both yours and air rocket command. I have just adopted your idea of pumping the water into the rocket, before I used to pour it from the top. However, I have noticed that by doing this I build up pressure in the rocket before pumping the air in. How do you solve this problem. The air entry has a non return valve so I cannot know how much pressure has been built up into the rocket whilst pumping in the water. Can you help? Thanks.

My rocket tilts on the launch pad, even with a launch tube inside. Any ideas on how to keep it straight? Should I consider using shorter rockets?

Excellent! Durable, reliable, a lot of metal parts! German quality! :) And what is the maximum pressure reached when starting at this launcher?
@RaketfuedrocketsDeutschland
@RaketfuedrocketsDeutschland 7 лет назад
Thanks a lot, Sergey! We have already used this launcher design with 18 bar / 260 psi. I think the launcher can hold even more pressure, but it would be maybe good to braze the components instead of soldering them together. Cheers Julian

Hello, love your videos! Do you get to 200 psi by hand or using a compressor?
@RaketfuedrocketsDeutschland
@RaketfuedrocketsDeutschland 6 лет назад
Thanks! We're just using the air pump because the power supply for a compressor would be quite complecated to organize at our launch site. :)

What did you used for the compressed air valve ?

Thanks for good ideas, i just build same launch ped. How much you can put pressure with the pump you use In this video? I managed to get just 8bar and the pumping went really hard😑
@RaketfuedrocketsDeutschland
@RaketfuedrocketsDeutschland 4 года назад
There are pumps available which can achieve up to 17 bar ...but it is quite hard for sure, especially when the rockets get larger.

What is the max psi you can use with the launcher? Also, what psi do you use to launch your rockets?
@RaketfuedrocketsDeutschland
@RaketfuedrocketsDeutschland 6 лет назад
We launch our rockets at about 200-260 psi. I think the launcher can hold even more than that, but we have never tested it.

Thanks for the info. Also, is there a complete parts list of the parts you used? I can't seem to find some parts like the reduction sleeve and the 22mm to 3/4".

I was waiting for this tutorial, but I'm struggling to find a small pvc pipe where do you get yours ?
@RaketfuedrocketsDeutschland
@RaketfuedrocketsDeutschland 7 лет назад
You can usually buy PVC pipes in your local hardware store. Since we are from Germany, we buy our components at a German hardware store like Hornbach, Obi, Bauhaus, Globus, Toom,...

Has anyone ever used an airgun reservoir as rocket and pressurized it to 4500 psi? I have an extra air tube and the compressor to fill it and I keep wondering how high it would go.
