How to change front brake pads on a 1998 DR-350. I'm not a mechanic so if someone who is wants to correct me in my approach, please feel free to do so. My main goal for this video was to show how the anti-chatter clip is installed.
Thanks. ... Always good to have another model-specific tutorial. With all the millions of vids on YT, I really AM surprised how few examples of model-specific mechanical procedures that there are. The more involved and difficult the procedure, the fewer the tutorials.
tbjimcollins Zactly ... Mechanical endeavors are daunting enough without trying to get enough light and achieve proper focus, etc. ... It really does help others though.
I just throw all my bolts and things in the lid of my socket set. Sometimes I forget how things go back together! I couldn't figure out after I put my front axle in, I forgot to mount the speedo cap. Just bring it on over and we'll do it together!
I liked it! Just remember to check your brake fluid when you push the pistons in; you don't want it to overflow onto painted surfaces. Also, pump up the brakes before you ride. Two or three squeezes of the hand lever should do it. Now, fix Kelly's 4-wheeler.
Thanks Greg, you're absolutely right. I was hoping the sealed reservoir on the handlebars would hold the excess! Kelly's bike is far too gone for me to fix! He's just gonna have to get a job and get it fixed or fix it himself! Thanks for the added tips!
Thanks for the tutorial. I have a '98 model also and just swapped out a non-DOT front tire for a Shinko 244 to match the rear. Made a world of difference on road feel. I realize it won't have nearly the off-road capability but I'll learn and adjust my pace. Do you have other Videos specific to the DR 350? Guess I could just check your channel, couldn't I? D'oh!
