Has iron filings in it doesn't it? Hence the water.... Getting real rust. Seriously look how cool this looks... And it keeps getting strong over time when the sunlight is on it. Great product. Very clever stuff. Is it the Craig and Rose one?
I’m doing this tomorrow! I’ve bought the wax to seal the wall once I’m happy with the rusting but I’ve never used a wax before, not like this, I’m guessing you didn’t use it? Did you use it on the copper wall? If so what’s the best way to apply it. Thank you!
@@waryg2744 I actually didn’t in the end, I wasn’t sure if it would ruin the effect and cause it to smoosh around so I didn’t bother and I’m really happy actually.
I am an artist and would like to apply this technique but you didn't mention the color paint you used, or what the activator is? Does the colour in paint matter? what type of paint you use? Does this work with plaster? Thanks! Grate work!!!
I've made my own rusty paint a couple of times, one mixed in light grey, and recently in black paint.. the outcome is almost the same. I make mine with fine iron powder/filings and mix it up in something called Hammerite paint.
