Today we continue talking about the Chanel-style trims..
I've already said that there are different ways for decorating trims: you can attach pearls or bungles, for example.
I've also promised you to show how to decorate trims with chains with chiffon stripes in them.
Svetlana will help me show you how to make Chanel-style trims with gold or or silver chains and chiffon stripes in them.
The trim we are going to work with was made using absolutely the same technique as we showed you last time. It's just the fabric that is different.
Chiffon should be cut on a bias too. The raw edges of the chiffon stripes shouldn't be stitched.
Use a chain in which the holes are not too small. You need to be able to pull a chiffon stripe through.
We will show you how to pull a chiffon stripe through the holes in a chin.
After that we will show you how to attach a chain to a trim.
This technique may even be more simple than the one for decorating trims with pearls and bungles.
Anyway, you should know how to do both.
There’s no universal technique for attaching chains to trims. It is mostly because of the fact that there are a lot of different types of chains.
Imagine how amazing a jacket with such neckline, flaps or sleeves will look like.
You can use a chain of any color - gold, silver, or even a colored one. It depends on a color of fabric.
If the fabric is multi-colored, you can use chiffon of the color you like more, or of the color you want to mark out.
Today we’ll show you a very useful technique.
Just imagine how beautiful you will look wearing Chanel-style jacket with such trims!
