Thanks for the tips. Built my incubator after watching your video with an old monster cooler. Works to perfection. Put my first clutch of eggs in on Friday.
I had no idea you were located in Montana! I have been watching your videos in preparation for my breeding plans in the next couple of years with my main goal being to expand the hobby here in Missoula and the surrounding area. Your DIYs are going to play a huge part in my project so thank you for all your hard work!
They both look great. I built one from a counter top Pepsi cooler and will be using it for my first clutch of pieds this year. Really dig your videos and your very economic aprouch on your builds.
Definitely like the build just a thought on how to keep your temps even by running the heat tape along the sides of the incubator rather than along the back. Just a thought but still looks great!!
Thanks. It works great now. My thermometers were off. Got the new ones I mentioned, added one more row of water, and now there's a 1.2 degree difference from the top to bottom shelves
Where I live if one were to decide to cut the Freon lines and release the Freon into the atmosphere it’s a $25K fine if one of your neighbors decides to tern you in. A gentleman tried to say that his unit was vandalized to get it replaced through insurance well unfortunately for him his neighbor behind him had cameras and the two of them didn’t get along.his neighbor turned the video into the city, not only did his insurance company come after him for fraud the epa and state came after him for 25K
Epic build man!! I needed to see this for my Monster build and I'm going to redo my fans on my other incubator!! I hooked a thermostat with a regulator up inside the incubator so you can see it from the outside. I thought the moisture might cause a problem but it worked like a charm with 1° +or-.
Hey guy Im old fashion by using igloo coolers with water and underwater heaters and such to control humidity. How do you control humidity in this one? I just picked me one up so I am curuous on that. Thanks in Advance!
Should get some Morph mixology decals for the front glass of the incubators, great video as always, currently in the process of building my own so this helps a lot, also your snake and rat rack videos helped a lot when I was starting out too
Great video man! Thanks for making it! Gives me ideas and inspiration to do mine. Ive got a tiny one that could prob fit 3 tubs and i got a bigger on that could bit 12 tubs. Looking forward to making mine. Just gotta deal with removing the cooling system. Keep the awesome videos coming!! Hope you got some nice clutches coming to fill that incubator!!! 👍
cool build, I am wondering why remove the refrigerator parts? Right now I do not need an incubator solely for snakes (yet mwhahaha) but I would like a fermenting chamber for the beer we brew where I can tank the temp and cold crash our beer when needed.
WISH I COULD HAVE WATCHED YOU WHILE YOU WIRED THE HEAT TAPE, THIS IS SOMETHING I NEED TO LEARN. WHAT ARE THE WATER BOTTLES FOR?? 🤔 I'M TRYING SO HARD TO LEARN, LOL. 🤷🏾♀️😂😂
Why is it obvious/required to remove the cooling elements. I've wired mine up to cool automatically using the compressor using a second thermostat if the temperature is too high. For example a gecko egg might need sub ambient heat in summer. I'm new to this could I be causing a hazard?
Dude you really need a tripod 🤣 Also you should do a video of every step recording everything your doing for people that are total noobs to converting these coolers
Very instructional video. I have a question. Are you getting your target temperature by using just heat mats? Do you use some sort of thermostat? I'm working on a project that would need an air flow at a much higher temperature range (130-140°F). Do those heat mats have adjustable temperature? Thanks.
I just got that Rockstar fridge. Where did you drill the hole on that one? Also, why do you have to remove all the cooling parts? And theoretically couldn’t you leave it in and use it for brumation and for incubation?
IVe got a wine cooler, college fridge size, and the compressor went out on it so do you think i'm okay to just leave it be or can i safely remove it since it cashed out?
Find a local vending supply store. Vending machines have LED light bars to highlight the products. They are relatively easy to install. I know what my local store is call (we only have one) i don't know one to recommend to you or i would.
Why are the snakes always kept in just a box, don't they get space to move around at all?. Is there a reason for this, obviously I see why they need to be in small boxes in the incubator, however I am concerned about the large snakes in small containers all the time. Can you explain why they can't have more space?. Thank you.
On your rockstar incubator how did you keep the lights in the door working? I picked up a red bull fridge and it has the lights in the door and im hoping to keep them functional.
Another great, informative and well planned video ! My only question is on the fan inside the incubator. Do you run yours 24/7 ? If not, is it on a timer ??
Will the heat strips you are using heat up enough to be used in a chick incubator I have a Starbucks cooler I would like to use strips in place of bulbs can they heat up to 100?
I have a question brother, does it matter how much air the fan is blowin..i have a fan about the same size as yours but i think it my be blowin to much air idk really, but does it matter, and does the lights bein onn in the incubator mess with ur temps since they get hot i have the same lites as ur smaller one and they get a lil warm i get 88 just with the lites n the fan with out the thermostat or heat tape...lol....let me knw please i will appreciate it
Where do you put the temperature probe? I’ve seen people put it directly on the tape and other in front of the tape or even hanging on the middle of one of the racks.
@@MorphMixologyReptiles, you mention at 11:30 that you plug it into a thermostat but don't say which one. I haven't seen your other builds I will look up Herpstat.
