Great idea, it will help. What I do is have 3-4 females per tub and one male per 2 racks. I move the male from the top tub to the next tub down every 2 weeks. By the time he goes through the 10 tubs the babies in the first tub are now weaned size and can start breeding the females again. If I feel like the girls need a brake I will wait a week to move the male. This way I am not feeding more moths than needed, the mom help take care of all the babies, and I don't need a rack to move them to. I also make the rail for the tub about 2" shorter than the rack so the tub will drop out before it hits the tip for the water
Was expecting a video after I saw your instagram post of all the wood. My mice recently gave birth and you always seem to post the videos I need! Amazing job man.
Awesome rack dude I wish I had the skills to just build one of those. I had to get someone to build mine lol but quick tip don't know if you need it but what I did was put the water nozzle as close as I could to the front of the tub that way you can slide the bins out easily and not just half way. Anyway keep up the good work man awesome videos.
That's a great idea. I'm currently leaving the males in with the females and haven't had any issues yet. But if I ever have any issues, I'll do this! Love your videos 😉
Why dont you have this rank anymore? I was gonna build one till I seen you no longer have it. Did you find problems with it or did you find something better? Awesome vid, thanks.
Do you have the measurements between frame and rail, and frame to frame? Bottom of frame to top of rail. Bottom of frame to top of next frame. Thank you for your help! This will be the second build off your plans.
Do you have links to blue prints and cut list and shopping list of all your builds you can put out of Facebook or a personal website that I can save and print out. I'm having building this spring so love to do this all. Rat racks, display cases, snake jungle gym, hides, water holders, snake racks, watering system. Love to pamper my animals and be a better breeder
There aren't any holes in these tubs. But if you're talking about the black ones on the breeders, they don't seem to bother them. Just keep them fed and they will be happy
@@MorphMixologyReptiles I've got twelve tubs full and I had one turned around backwards and they chewed a giant hole in it but I caught them before they got out. Must have been because I had the tub in backwards or the tub isn't snug enough.
@@lowlifeexotics3070 I had some chew through one tub as well. Chew toys help a lot but then I found the same tubs with no holes in them at Lowe's. They cost about $5 more but could save u a lot in the long run.
Why does the color matter, or if u can see through it or not? I would think the clear would make it so there is more interaction with them because they can see u more.
@@darksoul923 Never hurts to ask questions. I didn't think there would be a difference or worse due to the color or them being clear. The merternity tub is used once the mom is showing so I would think they wouldn't make a difference but I have not used clear. I know rats are very social and a clear tub would make it so they see u more other than that I can't say it would be better or not just what I think. Lol
Hey bro I just started watching and I love what u did and how your setup is I'm a big snake persion... I want to git 1 agin here reaol soon so if u could inbok me and mabby talk business
sorry sweety, but why did you upload this? you're not showing us anything. I love watching you build. don't leave it out of the video please! you are the only one that has the same 'OCD' level as me as it comes to building things. I love seeing things come together. in this video you only tell us what you did and what you are going to do, and didn't show most of the process. and the process is the most interesting. the only part I really liked was the placing of the water hoses, and that would be the most boring part in a 'normal' video on your channel. :-) I love watching your video's but please don't assume we wouldn't want to watch the same thing over and over again, because some things are cool to re-see.
