This is a super easy and cheap kayak cart to make getting out on the water that much easier! What I use: GoPro amzn.to/3RRNpkf GoPro mic amzn.to/3PPKxmm These are affiliate links*
Saw this video and made one. I love it! No straps. No falling off. And just pick up your kayak to remove. Also stores on top so you don't have to run back to the vehicle. Thank you for this!
@@kyleroyer9227 my hoodoo impulse 120 is around the same weight I believe. While I haven’t used it a ton, it has been fine so far. You should read some of the other comments for some concerns people have but I haven’t had an issue
Been going thru the same issue. After yesterday I am gonna make one myself. I can now park once load the kayak add them under it. Drag it to the boat launch out of the way of real boaters lol. Stick it on the back of the kayak and head out .
🙋🏻♀️Bought my 1st kayak (pelican covert 120 angler fishing kayak) and im definitely going to need something like that to transport it wherever I go. Might try to make it myself... I love how you can leave the wheels on the kayak!!..so clever👏Thanks for showing us this 👍 definitely subscribed 🎉
Thanks for the support! I have not had any issues but do some research on the scupper cart for your kayak because some have said they have seen issues. Good luck!
Did something similar awhile back and then I recreated the cart and added rod holders into cart. Just an Idea for you to add. It does mean version 2 but it is easy to add some Ts in the long vertical pieces and then adapter another T into that T that you can use as a rod holder I have 4 (1 on each vertical PVC run and then 2 on the bottom horizontal run). Makes the cart sturdier as well. Nonetheless, it just fun to mess with. Thanks for the video, keep it up!
I like the kayak caddy idea of taking the caddy with you in case, in case I have to walk back to my truck. Can you list out the pieces of pvc that you used?
Appreciate the feedback! I can but unless you have the same kayak, it likely won’t fit. It’s just 1” sch 40 pvc and 1” pvc “tee” fittings. If you have the same one I can measure and let you know
Very rarely are scupper holes reinforced to be capable of withstanding the pressure carts that style that put on them. Only a few manufacturers do it. Great idea but just something to consider.
I appreciate the feedback! The weight of it should be on the bar spanning the bottom of the kayak so unless you’re trying to pull it over large obstacles there shouldn’t be too much pressure on the scuppers and I think it should be okay
I have a Glide Trolley in the rear scupper holes of a 3 Waters Big Fish 120 decked out with a large lithium battery and crate at the back and it doesn't even bother it. You can push the trolley under water and it floats upward into the scupper holes and you simply walk out of the water. Too easy.
I haven’t noticed any problems with it. The bottom of my kayak is pretty flat in that area so the weight is not only on the scupper holes. If it causes any issue I’ll be sure to follow up on it but I think it will be okay. Appreciate the comment!
