Don’t sell yourself short, we are here because you have knowledge and skill at something we all enjoy. You do a good job editing and share your info in a way that makes it enjoyable to watch. Hope ya have a great day and I can’t wait to see that little boat on the water.
I see you're using undercoating. Wood truck bed liner be the same thing? That's a good idea. I'll have to put it on my Pelican Bass Raider 8. In my opinion you're one of the greatest. Thanks for doing all the videos. You teach us a lot!
Nice project. I hate to be that guy but I worked for Rust-Oleum up unit last year and have been in the paint business for over 20 yrs. Your product choice could have been better. You chose Rust-Oleum Undercoater which is just a thicker version of your standard general purpose paint. It is designed to protect from rust and provide a uniform color to an old under-body. The better choice for this project would have been the Rust-Oleum Pro Grade Truck Bed coating. It is designed to stick better and handle abrasion better than the undercoater. It will hold up better by design. i would hate for someone to put all that time and effort into a project like this and not have it last as long as possible. The roll on product will last longer as it would have put more coating onto the surface. it will also need to cure for 72 hours before it is set up. it will be dry but the chemistry needs longer to bond to the surface. if it was me, I would give it 7 days before exposing it to water. A primer coat will also provide you much better results than going straight on with the coating. I know it says no primer needed but a coating is only as good as its foundation it is on. www.walmart.com/ip/Rust-Oleum-Professional-Grade-Truck-Bed-Coating/36758513?athcpid=36758513&athpgid=athenaItemPage&athcgid=null&athznid=PWVUB&athieid=v0&athstid=CS020&athguid=5540e743-e45-16bddc1190dcc8&athena=true Tight lines.
I’ve stopped at the over look going over too Virginia time to time. That’s a beautiful place. Same long time sub here just a name change to kick start this channel. You Rock!
Agree with everything you said my friend. I stumbled onto your channel looking for keel protection for my kayak. Just got a Old Town Vapor 10 Angler kayak a few weeks ago. Never kayaked before in my life, of course this will be for lakes and large ponds not the river. I have a deep respect for our local river (New River) here in WV. I fish the river but it has always been from the banks! I was watching this video and I whole hardheartedly agree with your statements early in the video. My son and I started our channel 11 years ago and we don't considered ourselves as professionals when it comes to hunting or even RU-vid. We started our channel to show true hunting, not this TV hunting where there are monster bucks around every tree. We also wanted to show the real hunting experience and hunting in WV. Our channel has various things like reloading, casting bullets, some bushcrafting, leather work, knife building and my other hobby, Amateur Radio. Thanks for sharing your tip about the keel protection, I will have to look into that. Juddie - J & J TOA PS: I sub'd to your channel and will be looking at more of your videos.
Nice video Hank. Like others have said, I am really glad I found your channel. You are always humble and down-to-earth, and I forget, knowledgeable. LOL I’m not that far from you down here in North Atlanta, but absolutely love the mountains. I agree with your opinion, and I always look forward what you have to say. Like you, just wish I didn’t have to work so darn much. God bless!
You used Rust-Oleum Rubberized Undercoating, that is a great start, it gives impact resistance, but if you use Rust-Oleum Truck Bed Liner over that it will be hard as nails, but the Bed Liner takes a week to cure according to Rust-Oleum. FYI: the Rust-Oleum Rubberized Undercoating keeps the Rust-Oleum Truck Bed Liner from chipping off.
You are absolutely correct: a full time RU-vidr isn't a professional Angler! For that matter, not all full time tournament anglers are professional anglers, because many of them are not generating their income from angling.
I wish you the best of luck, in growing your channel large enough to make videos full time. There are plenty of RU-vidrs that have done so, that dont produce anywhere near the quality of videos, that you create. I personally, am not looking to create videos full time. I will be eligible to retire in 10 years, at which time, I will be able to fish 150 days per year. My life's mission is to spread the good news of Jesus Christ, and i should have plenty of time to do so, after I retire!
@@TeamJesusOutdoors I never really thought, took seriously, or considered that this would be an option. Didn't start this with that in mind. It's just started to happen. I've had several other channels tell me that I need to and that's crazy. Thanks for the kind words man.
I CAN NOT SPEAK FOR ANY ONE BUT MY SELF ! I AM HERE BECAUSE I FEEL YOU ARE THE BEST AT WHAT YOU DO !! BEEN A SUB FOR A GOOD LENGTH OF TIME & ALWAYS WILL BE FAITHFUL !! SO RALLY UP ALL 22 K SUBS ---- IF WE ALL GOT HANK JUST ONE MORE 50 K WOULD BE RIGHT AROUND THE CORNER !!!!!! LETS GO !!!!!
I have cleaned toilets, dug ditches, laid sod, put in sprinkler systems, been a pharmacy technician, purchasing agent, millwright, worked at a kaolin plant, Ga Power fossil fuel plant, became an RN, and now I’m a nurse practitioner. I hear ya, Hank! #bluecollarrootsarethebestroots
If there is nothing legally to prevent people from saying they are a professional "something" then there are certainly those that will. Example Nutritionist Professional vs Registered Dietician.. ANYONE can say they are a Nutrionist with zero testing, licensure, schooling, or qualifications. Dieticians are legally professionals that go to school, pass state /national exams, and are certified /licensed. Many fields of professionals have people who attempt to use title descriptions similar to the real profession to make people think it's legitimate like Design Professional instead of Architect, Structural Consultant instead of Structural Engineer... While there isn't anything that prevents someone from calling themselves a Professional Angler, knowing how to do drop a hook in the water and trick a fish doesn't make one a professional. Although I really appreciate the insight and knowledge!! I actually put a lot more trust in those who say up front they are or are not professionals than those who try and run with a title. The Rhino stuff looks cool, may need to check into that stuff. Tight lines Hank!
Great video Hank! Nice cheap protection worth every penny. Great area views from your location! Can't wait to see you catch some hawgs from your little boat! :)
I’m about to pull the trigger and do this to my kayak. Do you have an update on its durability? Any who, thanks Hank! I love your vids and glad to be a sub! 🤘 tight lines!
I love our area too brother. Great video, these so called pro anglers are making videos about wing eating contest and stuff! Come on man. One of the reasons I watch you is your a good ole boy like me. You just know a but load about fishing! 😆 I hope you can do it for a living, I'm a fan bro just saying. (Just my opinion)
Awesome content and awesome channel. I was on the fence about starting a channel but I wanted to just have fun with it. I want it to grow but I want to enjoy doing it as well. Thanks again for the all the info you put on here.
Thanks for the video!! How did it hold up? I am a kayaker, and was looking at protecting my keel. Is it a smooth texture? And would this create drag on a kayak and slow it down?
Hank you're more than nobody. You are Bass Geek. You're true to yourself, original, and a great dude that I'm proud to call my best bud. That's why we all keep coming back and you see the growth that you have and will continue to see. Keep being you bro cause that's why we love ya man!!
