Hello. Theoretically it " tricks" the woofer to make the box appear "bigger". Also it cuts down inner box resonance therefore producing heavy bump.

Hello John. I use different sizes of T-nuts and bolts. In this project were M4 T nuts and Allen head machine bolts. Same size as Pioneers. JBL's usually are M6. Others were M5's.

There are only a few cities in the Philippines that has very big car audio scene, where these boxes go to customers via ship or plane or truck. And yes JDM is big but most of them are kids who drives and customize their rides. Only a few can really afford bumping sound system.
