That came out fantastic. Kerfed ports are difficult but always worth it. They beat cleaner and tighter, I think. Aeroport assemblies and kerfed slots are super versatile. Nice work man.
Trabalho maravilhoso!! Eu não sabia que poderia se fazer uma curva em material folheado porém, peguei a manhã!! Parabéns pra você !! E o teu cachorrinho arrumou uma amizade de 4 patinhas 👏👏👏 adorei.
2 mistakes one big mistake without cotton inside other small mistake is on that plastic cable connector, inside u should pub wood and glue so that plastic will not vibrate anymore. after fixing only that 2 things, makes nice to have perfect bass down to 24 MHz good work, strong material, space room perfect and the air moving or bass reflect is perfect too 😊 and nice look 👌 i see a lot of people who build very wrong like big subwoofer and small box 😃 but this was good room size not small not big :)
It is possible to say the dimensions of this box. I want to make a box for your money, $ 100, but for me, a monthly salary, please help. All over the world, I owe you all over the world،،🙏🙏🙏🙏Please....
Badass bro, great looking Box! I am a JBL Fanatic, I just got the Partybox 310 and have had their Endurance Sprint Bluetooth Headphones and am blown away by the Sound Quality that JBL Produces. How do you say that Sub sounds overall? Is it loud enough for you? I'm thinking of doing 2 of them in a Ground Shaker 30Hz Enclosure.... If not I'm getting the new Alpine Type X. Just curious on your honest opinion after having owned it and listened to it for a while now? Are you satisfied or would you say it's not quite loud enough, being it only Produces 500 Watts RMS VS The Kicker L7 & Alpine Type X that produce 800-1200 Watts RMS?...
Excellent video as always! Nice test in the end please do more tests like these its kind of fun to see them go that low. Are these subs actually capable of going that low? like Down to 20hz?
Many thanks. This JBL has a factory 28Hz free to air resonance and I calculated the box to be lower than that. Exactly about 25Hz on Bass Box Pro 6 calculation but actual impedance verified by Dayton Audio DATS v3 shows 22Hz. That's 3Hz lower than calculated values.
Sooo coool , sir plz help me find actual height ,length & width and enclosed for my woffer , my woffer details are - FOCAL30A4 12" 4-ohm 500W , peak power handling 500W frequency 32-500 HZ, Rate power handling 250 .
@@chrclmnky I can understand as I can c ur work so neet n clean , I am very impressed in india (Delhi) it's very dificult to find such kind of work perso , but I have a request plz take a little time so that I can enjoy music 🎶 with ur great help .
This project is also awesome!! Could you please do one project. How to convert old 2.1 Creative SBS (Two speakers and one Subwoofer) to single compact vertical tower speaker. I want to convert it, but lack of knowledge in this area.
many times I have seen this video. because of your video I bought 2 jbl stadium 1224 (this type is available in my country). make a box using boxpro, but the results are not as good as the Llyod-burst song you played. thank you for your inspiration.
Well done btw it's not as hard as ppl think obvi u got to get your measurements & calculations correct that goes without sayin but as long as you take your time when you're cuttin & joining you'll be good... And you SHOULD be taking your sweet ass time this is supposed to be a labor of love take pride in that shit cuz I know it feels damn good when u bust out a build like this that just comes out money it's ALLL about them ohh's & ahh's and anyone who says it ain't, isn't being honest.😜 Bass on dudeman nice work.
I cam close to this for a memphis MOJO 15. it looks like a joke but dose the job well. at least until I do it again with 2 15s. this video is inspiring.
Hello Charcoal. I give you my most sincere congratulations for these videos, I'm sorry for the distance, I am writing to you from Italy otherwise I would have come to see you. Question, but if you decide to change my sub, if I email you the specifications, could you possibly design the box for me? I would take care of its realization, I have all the tools in the garage to make it, but I don't have the program for the design. Of course, it doesn't have to be a constraint. Once again congratulations. Greetings from Italy
Thanks for sharing the video and the information! Very useful (and entertaining with your lovely dogs running around). Excuse me if you already answered this question but what is the radius of the bended part of the port at the front and did you change the total port length? I have read that when using a (large) flange the outer part of the "mouth" shouldn't be used for determining the total length of the port. Ps. Could you also share the dimensions of the box? Tia.!
Many thanks for such inspiring feedback. Curve radius is 12" (outside dimension). There are exactly 12 kerf cuts with 10mm interval. Flanges and such don't really matter to me when calculating. All I do is to measure inner dimensions minus all the displacements when calculating boxes into BassBox Pro and WinISD. There is a link to the TinkerCad schematics of this box project. 😄
Great looking enclosure! Shame to put such a large hole into it for a terminal that's going to leak a good amount of air & would certainly prefer a drilled hole just large enough to squeeze the speaker wire through & add a little sealant to. Also, the recessed loading of the sub is a real nice touch & one you rarely see, unfortunately! Thanks for the vid!
Hi! I'm still a noob in speaker design and not even a native English speaker. I have in plan to buy the same speaker due to its performance and linearity. I already did a bunch of simulations, and I come with a box that has around 3.53ft^3, tunned at 24Hz, and a very flat response. My question is: is there any reason you chose 2.218ft^3 other than space? What about air velocity (I have a max at 28m/s)? But Cone excursion? Mine is excited at 13mm - 500W, but I don't plan to use it at this power. At 400W excites 12mm at 21.5Hz
Hello Damian, you have done a good work on your enclosure simulation. I should have turned this one at about 30Hz for a balanced response but somewhat miscalculated the port area that is why the overall tuning ended up way lower which is 22Hz.
Y did you under size the box slightly? JBL reccomends 2.5, I figure to save on size but I've always wondered because my trunk sucks and if I could down size alil I could fit different subs I currently own
goodevening sir. sobrang linis at pulido ng gawa ninyo, gumagawa rin po ba kayo ng L PORTED BOX na ang iloload sana ay LIVE PRO 15 1K WATTS? sana mapansin. salamat po ☺️
JBL Speaker and Manufacturer Home Made Box It's Very Very Recomended, The Voice Bass a Racing HOREGGG ( Indonesian Version) Excellent & Impressive 👍👍👍👍👍😉😉😉😉😉
Wow. That is so fucking amazing. Glad it came up in my recommended. Haven't seen any of your other videos but this one deserves a sub for sure. Would love if you can make me a box. Fuck, my main car is a Hyundai Sonata 2009 haha.
You have a lot of skills to make something perfect. I have subscribed your video. It's very innovative and interesting to watch till the end without any skip. If I had you as my neighbour then I would have placed an order to make such one for me. Keep posting more n more videos. Lots of love friend.
Rocksolid build! Why dont you trust your wood glue, tho? Wood glue bonds are stronger than the wood itself, so I dont see the point in the additional screws. Also, did you place the driver off center on purpose to avoid resonance?
Nicely done. I have a pair of that same JBL subwoofer I plan to have a box built. I'd like to get the same low range into the 20's. Gonna check out some more of your videos
Can you do a 8" inch top mounted with a top port? Sorta what you did here but with a top port... I have a 8 inch skar sub in a prefab box that came with the sub and looking for ideas to get the best out of that sub.
Hello how you doin. Calculations are somewhat theory level. While actual impedance measurements are so far the most accurate in AC application benchmarking.
@@chrclmnky always wanted to visit there, I noticed you get alot different equipment than what I ever see. The video u posted last week with the ts parameter on that 8", I noticed the subwoofer frame and motor is very similar to my sundown e8v6's
@@mikedavis9923 yes the Philippines is a nice place to tour, let's just hope this Wuhan shiz will end soon. I agree on the similarities to top brand woofers. I think manufacturers are sourcing their products from same factories in China. These woofers I recently uploaded are only half the cost versus the top brands like Sundown and Skar but same quality and output.
The brand is heavily marketed and sold locally through Facebook groups. There also an online marketplace selling the brand but they jacked up the price.
