Hello~ Today I'm back with a slightly different type of video - it's my first DIY tutorial! (⁎˃ᆺ˂⁎)
I will be showing you how to make easy DIY keychains of your favourite anime characters using shrink plastic (or also known as shrinky dinks). I've been rewatching Hakyuu!! recently so I will be making plastic charms of Hinata, Kageyama, Oikawa, Kuroo, Kenma and Bokuto.
The process is super simple and fun! When I was young, I would always want to buy anime merchandise but couldn't afford to do so (or more like, I couldn't convince my parents to buy anime merch for me haha). I wish I knew this method earlier so that I could create keychains of my favourite anime characters for me and my friends.
On a side note, I worked hard to improve my editing and tried doing something different, such as voicing over the instructions and doing stop-motion animation for the intro. Let me know what you guys think! Hope the tutorial is helpful and that you enjoyed watching it!

I’ve added this to the description box and comment threads previously as well. I wasn’t able to find the original artist after reverse Google image searching the photo but please let me know if you are able to find out so I can credit the artist directly. (I don’t think the Pinterest link is the original artist). Thanks again for helping me improve, this is my first tutorial and moving forward, I will only use my own drawings or art from artists whom I can contact directly for permission. Also if you ever get frustrated with the paper moving and having to align it again while tracing, you can tape down the sheet and paper so it won’t move

Quick tip for anyone watching: after you color it in some of the online might get covered or faded, go back over the lines again after coloring to get more sleek and dark lines (I do this all the time when I’m painting or drawing)

I color the colored bits first, leaving a gap for the lines, and then outline with a black colored pencil at the very end

I use DecoArt’s DuraClear High Gloss Varnish myself and just follow the instructions on the label 😊

Thanks for the video, they came out so cute. I noticed you didn’t show if you used the high gloss varnish, is this something you decided not to use or just didn’t show?

So observant!!! 😂 yes I ultimately decided not to use the varnish because I use the keychains as decor in my room so there’s not a lot of wear and tear! But if you plan on using the keychains on a daily basis, then I recommend using varnish or resin to protect the design for,m scratching off 😊

question when doing this after baking and cooling , can the side that was colored with gets smudged in someway and if so is there anything to prevent that

You can protect the coloured side by painting on a varnish to see the colours in! I use the DecoArt DuraClear High Gloss varnish myself and follow the instructions on the packaging 😊

@@dailybella1942 firstly, I don't have a shrink paper😂😂. But still, I think it works with printed papers too. You should search on youtube as everyone can't draw. Then, make a video about it 😅
