When I was about your age, I'm going on 80 now, my husband would LEAVE for work on a weekend morning, I would redo an entire room by myself. I did keep the husband, he kept leaving and my rooms always turned out lovely. Now that I am old I miss doing the work and seeing his wonderful smiles when he'd return. Enjoy everything you do right now. The kitchen looks absolutely wonderful and your spousal person smiled while helping.

Oh man, I feel you with the frustration of tiling and grouting. My husband and I have a cinderblock shower in our basement, and since we were getting ready to rent our house out, we thought it would be a good idea to tile it so it didn't look so janky. We did a honeycomb floor tile, and that was a huge success, so we moved on to the sides using large white rectangular tiles. Putting up the wall tiles actually went really well, so we thought "hey, we totally got this!" Ever heard of pride going before the fall? That was us. Or, actually me, since I did the grouting. The grout went on really well, but then I left to dry too long, and ended up have to chisel and scrape Every. Single. Line. For. 5. Hours. Hubby and I have done a lot of diy projects, but I've never actually cried over one, except that tiling job. But hey, on the brightside, now we know! And your kitchen looks amazing 🥰🥰🥰

Great job on an enormous undertaking! “I just want to be finished!” I have said it many times. Things go wrong and everything takes longer and often costs more. Plus the zillion extra trips to Lowe’s. I have been doing DIY’s before the internet 😮!! Yes, it was tough but Home Depot sometimes offered live clinics & if I was extra lucky, someone knowledgeable would be next to me in the plumbing aisle and would kindly give me a pro tip or answer a question. RU-vid has great tiling videos - they are incredibly helpful. Cutting small tile pieces to fit around outlets, etc., is difficult- especially for a first timer. I felt your pain. You will tile again - but you need a few more tools and while you are folding laundry, you need to binge watch the professionals. It will be so much easier next time. Not easy, just easier. Your kitchen is bright, inviting, & absolutely lovely! Bravo to you & your fabulous plumber! xo

I feel your pain with the grout!!! We subway titled a big shower in my house and it was HORRIBLE! One tip I’d give on cleaning up the grout, is to use PAINT STIRRING STICKS to scratch along the grout lines, worked so well for us to clean up grout lines. The sticks are the perfect width!! Your kitchen looks beautiful girl!!

You are so brave and I know YOU now where every tiny imperfection is, but I cannot see any! I think it looks amazing. Now the kitchen matches the rest of the house, and you didn’t break the bank. And believe me when I tell you that professionals don’t always do things perfectly either. If it will make you feel better I will send you photos of a few goofs and gaffes that’s we have discovered in time that we didn’t notice right away. And the bill for our renovation was $70,000! Your kitchen looks great. I’m in the middle of fixing our kitchen up now. I’d highly recommend installing the led recessed lighting and getting rid of that boob light in the middle of the kitchen. Our kitchen had 2 5 foot fluorescent fixtures inside of a large wooden housing. I ripped all that out and installed 5 led recessed lights on a dimmer and WOW it’s so much more light in the kitchen now. Everything looks great in your kitchen just wanted to share something I found super helpful. Electrical work can be a little daunting but just remember to shut off the power and you should be fine. You picked literally one of the hardest tiles to install lol. Changing light fixtures is easy, you should definitely learn :)

WOW. This is stunning. I love this. It looks so much bigger and brighter and I love the pop of colour near the table. You should be proud of yourselves. It’s lovely.xxx

I love it all! Your decorating taste is so simple yet so pretty! I love love the backsplash the best! I’ve always wanted to bite the bullet and install my own but you’ve reassured me not to even though yours looks awesome! Way to go!

Beautiful kitchen! I love the extra details you come up with. I also just watched your play room make over too. I'm in awe of your painting skills. I'm not nearly that detailed. We redid our kitchen last year. Painted cabinets, butcher block and stuff. It's not an easy project, that's for sure! Yours turned out beautifully!

The cabinets look so good white. I wish I had done mine earlier but now that I’m moving my realtor said don’t bother. I bought a sprayer off Amazon and spray painted some stools I bought on Facebook Marketplace and was amazed how easy it worked. I’m way behind on your videos. I stumbled upon the kitchen renovation last night and needed to see the final reveal. Keep up the good work.

I think laminate countertops are worth ten times what you pay for them. There are hundreds of choices in color and designs. Open shelves are one of the trends that are impractical. Also extremely specific trendy backslashes, sliding barn doors, word signs, like EAT, LAUGH, extra large wall clock, etc

I like it!! Great job... my favorite is the backsplash and faux brickwall. Green is my favorite color so I thought the half green wall was very creative and went well with everything else! 🤗

Loved how you overcame the peel and stick issue. You are a ‘pro’! Also, the subway tile would have been revealing the uneven backsplash. The choice you made makes the imperfections less obvious. 10/10 for the video, your way of presenting and narrating all the process. I subscribed to your channel for the excellence in all you all did.

It looks amazing! We own a small townhome/condo which we know isn't our forever and it has been driving me crazy whether to renovate certain spaces or not. I think this looks like something that could be in our budget and doable for us! I just found your channel..I am loving it!

Thank you so much for telling me about the Stick and peel wallpaper that's amazing and they have so many choices. I've been wanting to cover my front door that's an apartment inside door so it will stick and not be damaged by weather. Thanks.
