I'm adding 24 inches height to my front deck for privacy and shade. Usually I'm swearing like a sailor as I go but this melted my heart watching these ladies. Good job showcasing a fun home enhancing activity anyone can do on a weekend😊
Did this with 3 panels and came out good, but found it easier to put the posts in first, build the fence sections, and put them up by each section. Had a lot of trouble getting the lattice to fit perfectly in the lattice caps... make sure they are straight when you buy them, and check to make sure the lattice is cut straight before starting -- will save you a lot of headache. Happy DIYing.
I’m just here to say I saw another video before this one of a man making this same fence I got to 12 mins and he still hadn’t made the fence. He was barely digging holes. This is a much better video confident I can do this now
In the settings of any video you watch you can change the playback speed to 1.75 and they will hall balls faster in the video so as not to waste your time. It helps me. Hope this helps 🎉
I liked it better before! One big plant is nicer than 10 small plastic pots (especially red) .. too busy for me. Just my opinion tho .. looks like you had fun building it!
Hello, just found your channel and glad I did. Love this project and will be doing this on my own.My question is why only wood lettice? Thank you for sharing
Would something like this help keep a balcony cool in the afternoon? I love how lattice looks, but I need something for my balcony to keep it cool in the hot summer afternoons, since it faces the sun!
Could you use two posts and a four x eight screen but go the other way so it is eight feet wide and four feet tall and put it eighteen inches off the ground - I don't need privacy at my feet and then could plant vines on the ground. Then leave ~six inches at the top and put post caps on. Or do you really need three posts? I found some great vinyl privacy sheets that are not lattice and instead are a lightweight composite. Thoughts?
Chelsea, I'd like to know what state you're in. I know it's three years later, but I can't find lattice cap anywhere west of Wyoming (I'm in Washington). Instead I'll sandwich the lattice edges between strips of 2"x2". Not as nice, but will have to do...
@@Checkinginwithchelsea ... I finally found some lattice cap. I've been told it's more rare in this area because use of lattice around here has declined.
It's cute bt dont like all the lil pots kinda takes away I'd rather hv mine at the base. For plastic lattice I wouldnt use a circular saw! Bt women let's do thz!!
I include the disclosure so you can choose whether you want to watch or not. That's how I make a living (and pay for video production) by selling exposures in some of my content. Thanks for expressing your concern. ~Chelsea
