DIY Leather Piping Tutorial
Leather piping is one of those things that I was a bit intimidated by for a while when I started leather craft. Once I learned how to do it, I realized that with a little bit of time and practice it's a really fun way to make a very professional looking leather crafting project! In this leather crafting tutorial we show you how to make leather piping by hand, from wrapping the core to flipping the project rightside to. Enjoy :)

I'm not involved in leathercrafting myself, but I can say that the skills you are teaching others are quite valuable if put to use. If the economy keeps going the way it is we may have to start relearning practical skills and living in reality, heaven forfend.

Quick question, if you see this. Would it not be a little bit easier to make the area behind your stitch line, essentially the glue area, a bit longer so that the gluing down and stitching is easier? And then trim everything up to make them even and neater?

Your videos are really helpful and fun! You seem to always use natural veg tan. I love it as well, I just every now and then will get a project close to done and will get a mystery dark grey/black smudge on the leather that I'm really not sure what it is? I try to be very clean especially with NVT leather. Any ideas what it may be in your experience and if so is it somehow removable. Sorry it's off subject from video but I figure if anybody has experienced this you may have. Thanks

That looks so good. I started making things with leather thanks to you and Little King Goods. I just started cutting out the pieces to make my first messenger bag and I'm fucking terrified! I thought this would make a much better edge than I originally planned. You make this look so easy! Lol I think when I get home from work I'm gonna try this and see if I can figure this out on scrap and work my way up.
