DIY Light Up Headboard! Affordable Room Decor 

Is it just me that gets really excited when I see a pretty to decor thing that I can make ??

I am totally doing this when I move into an apt!!!

I love this. If you want to make it into a canopy, you could always use a double curtain rod and 4 more curtains. Sew the bottom of one curtain to the top of another, repeat. You now have 2 extra long curtains that you can drape along the ceiling, staple to the ceiling at the end of your bed, then let the remainder hang down at the end of your bed.

you could even spray paint the rod white (or buy a white one) so it can blend to the wall. super cute. love it.

I would recommend led lights as they don't get as hot as filament bulbs.

OMGSH THANK YOU SO MUCH!! I was trying to find a way to hang lights like this and was wondering if those icicle lights you hang on your roof that fall off a few inches could go down to the ground but this is such a better way!!!!

This is a great alternative to all the other diy headboard videos out there. I actually use extra large command hooks to hang my curtain rods so I don't have to drill into the wall :-)

L E D L I G H T S. Not regular string lights. LED Lights. Yes, most of ya know. Def, not all. Your Xmas headboard will most def burn out fast and/or will get your fabric, possibly your head(which has your beautiful hair on it)up in a frizz...I think it was just an over sight by Miss Orange County, here. My conscious wouldn't let me sleep w/o writing this. NightyN PS. Every ONLINe warehouse light store has LED sheer gauzy curtain drapes now/all colors/lengths -Which look like magical fairy dust when lit!! -save ya a lot of trouble + You'll have more hair..

This is great! Question - i take it your wall socket to plug in the lights is right by your bed? Mine is a slight distance away, so there will be a long wire from the lights to the wall socket... is there any way to conceal this?
