I am a beginner at sewing and my mouth dropped open as I watched this tutorial. I am going to attempt this but first I'll watch this tutorial another ten times because I'm lost lol.
THANK YOU for this video! I've been trying to find a good video to show me how to line a skirt and this is the only one that was helpful. Your instructions are clear and the camera directly faces the fabric so I can clearly see what you're doing. Very well done!
Hi! You are absolutely amazing I love watching you work! I am a new dress maker and I watch anything and everything you do. I was wondering if you could do a OP or show us how to do a simple top that will go nice with Lolita? I was thinking it might be fun as a very very new seamstress to film myself following one of your tutorials so other new people would see it is possible being as you are such a good teacher!
im very curios if this gives the same shape as fx. brand dresses if it looks the same with the petti, since i dont know how the brand dresses are made (if its with this kinda square pattern). i have tried to make lolita dresses before but that was with a circle skirt pattern, and im wondering what is best if this you do is more "normal" in lolita dresses! (and i understand that this pattern for sure is the best for fabrics with prints at the bottom, beacouse you cant really do that with a circle skirt pattern - the dresses i made where just the same print all over) hope you can help me becouse im very curios or maybe someone else can help me!?
Thankyou so much for the tutorial much appreciated the skirt is gorgeous and you have wonderful skill. Also I LOVE YOUR LAST OF US POSTER!!! That's my favorite game of all time!
+Marie Disney Aww thank you, I'm happy to help ~ I mostly buy them from local fabric stores, I have a couple that I've bought from Etsy but I like to feel and get hands on the fabric before buying it... But yeah, mostly local stores :)
That's a beautiful skirt! *-* I wonder where do you get those amazing fabric designs... I am loving your videos!! I have that wish of doing some myself! I hope I can start these year at least :) Wish you luck ;*
I find my fabrics with luck and persistence :D I visit the three fabric stores near me frequently to browse if they have anything new, I've ordered fabric from online only once because I like to know the feel of the fabric before buying it (plus shipping sucks). It's an awesome feeling to find a beautiful fabric and start planning what to do with it ^^ Thank you and I hope you make videos as well, I voted for you on the Lolita project! :)
Great tutorial. Will probably follow this for the most part fo my cosplay project, however, I wonder ....you have a pettticoat under t right? otherwise it wouldn't stand out so much? what type of petticoat is it?
+Linnzy Glad you like the tutorial ^^ I have a really voluminous A-line petticoat under the skirt. Feel free to ask away if anything comes up while making the skirt, I'm always happy to help!
Great! I an gonna make an Apple White basic from Ever After High Cosplay, I just need to make her skirt and figure out wht type of petticoat to have under it. I think your skirt here seem to be very close to hers in terms of style of skirt so...yeah i also need to make her jacket :P
sew-loli.livejournal.com/208428.html Would this help at all? It's an OP but I reckon there's something on the site that'll work I made my petticoat from there 😂
Janine Hosë That's not how I usually make the bodice for my dresses (since I like them to be more fitted) but thank you for linking it here, I hope it helps others ^^
+Attitude Lolita Thank you !! Could you write what you say on the screen because it is a little hard to understand what you say if if we do not speak your language, like me ? your video is beautiful ^^I'm subscribs
+Mini créative I can try to make a written tutorial, but if you like this video otherwise, you can click on the video right bottom corner "subtitles" and it will automatically sub the video so you can see what I'm saying :D It works well 99% of the time so it's pretty accurate, I hope it helps!
Oikein ihana hame!
