Not sure why but I thought I’d share,, I’m 16 years old and I just wanted to say you have inspired me to make my own clothes in the future. I was considering on sewing my own clothes (for sustainability and ethical reasons) when I move out for university, but your patterns convinced me 100% Even though I won’t be able to sew anything for a while yet, please don’t stop making these videos and selling your patterns; they make me so happy ❤️☺️
You make your tutorials so fun and simple to follow along! Great job!! XXX the dress looks amazing, but then again all your makes look amazing, hoping that one day I will sew just as fabulously as you!
When I made a toile of this pattern I used non stretch mid-heavy weight satin and dress turned out stiff, heavy and cowl neck looked awfut. Slip dresses really look best in lightweight fabric with at least little stretch xx
I really love this dress! My mom gifted me some silk and i want to make a slip dress out of it. I’m in love with your model, but I’m a bit bigger, i think im a size EU46, if not 48. it it going to be hard to adjust this sewing pattern? I’m relatively new to sewing, but if i only need to evenly add couple of centimeters all around the pattern, i think i could do it and not mess it up...
Is this pattern bias cut/cut on the cross? Or cut along the grain? Just wondering how wide my fabric needs to be. 1.5m of fabric isn't a lot when it's a narrow width fabric and things need to be bias cut.
This dress is cut on bias also the satin fabric I'm using has a bit of stretch as this slip dress doesn't have any fastenings. I used fabric that's was 1.5m wide and it all fitted nicely :) Hope that helps
Thank you! 😍 The fabric usage will depend on how short you want the dress to be. As a reference for the original length, you'll need 150cm x 150cm of fabric to make this dress.
I'm so glad to hear that and thank you! I bought a set to make hybrid nails 8 years ago and have been doing them ever since. The colour I'm wearing in this video is this one 🤗🤗 www.semilac.co.uk/semilac-uv-hybrid-french-pink-milk-053-7ml
@@tintofmint I can't find the fabric because the link won't work... What is the name of the satin you used? I thought it might be the duchess one but I'm not too sure
No, that's not the one. I used duchess satin to make a robe tutorial. That fabric is really thick and non stretchy. The fabric I used for this tutorial here is armania. 😊 www.minerva.com/mp/1197122/armania-charmeuse-silky-satin-fabric-aqua&variant=1160731
