For some of these instruction videos I'll always click the one that's the shortest in time. Find one for 35 minutes and they'll yap about how their dog got drunk one time and blah blah blah. Just give me the stupid recipe!
Hint: Add the molasses to the water until you get a gravity reading of 1060+ and don't add sugar, epsom salts or spice. Rum is traditionally water, molasses and yeast. You will find the end product is far better than added sugar. Cheers. (The SA plug is a give away! )
@@henrynyabuto4892 ferment until you get to a gravity of 1.000 or below. Fermentation times will vary with, yeast type, temp and initial gravity reading.
Hey I wanted to try getting into making rum could you along with the recipe give me an idea of all the equipment I will need. I'm planning on opening a restaurant and I want to be famous for serving the housemates by spiced rum

What is that black cord you have running into the bucket? Also, the tube that runs into the glass of water is genuis. I've got a bubbler, but that seems to be a better technique
Please make a video on making a sugar wash finished as dry Gin and another video with fruit concentrate for a fruit Vodka. Please talk a bit about flavour directions that work best for craft Rum, Gin and Vodka, and some ideas for infusions Craft Distiller can try out.
interesting video! Could you explain the plastic distill and the lid setup? I see you have a fish tank heater on one side, but curious how i can make a lid like that so i can distill
What is the benefit of Epsom Salts ?? Now a post on distilling thst fluid, making the caramel, dissolving the caramel in the distilled rum liquid, and how much would be bottled from that batch ?? Thanks in advance. Stills: single, double or triple system ??
Alcohol destroys magnesium in your body I.e. epsom salts/ magnesium sulfate. That's why you add it! Controls the D.T.'s. Obviously, u don't drink much? Stick to Coke a cola if u r unsure!
Fermentation alone can't produce alcohol higher than about 15-20%. To get a higher alcohol content like 40%, you'll need to distill the fermented liquid. The time it takes to ferment depends on factors like the type of yeast, temperature, and sugar concentration, but typically ranges from a few days to a couple of weeks. Once fermented, the liquid is then distilled to concentrate the alcohol.
Bro! thanks for the video, can u plz tell what type of bucket have u used for fermentation I don't seem to understand seeing the video. Also please make list of required equipment and their uses for making rum. Thanks very much.
1)First 6 ltrs of water to boil.. 2)Then in fermenting container add again 6 ltrs... 3)After filling the filtered mash again fill up with water (how much water to fill) ?
This might be a stupid question but this process looks almost identical to brewing beer. Instead of bottling after a few weeks of fermenting like beer, I assume this mixture needs to be run through a still? great video pirate music + rum is a win
Apple Jack, is easy too. Apple cider with no preservatives sugar and yeast. Let it work. Then freeze it. After it is frozen solid, let it thaw the first of the thawed is alcoholic. The ice is water waste. You can freeze it again and get more proof in the second thaw.
Kind of dissatisfied. You didn’t show your finished product. You also skipped very important processes & kept us away from being able to create a finalised product
