Hey there! I hope everything is wonderful for you. I am so excited about my new mantle and the NEW 2021 Sherwin-Williams COLOR OF THE YEAR: Urbane Bronze SW 7048. It’s such a pretty color that really works with so many styles. I kind of want to do my kitchen cabinets again to match my mantle. Lol. Maybe some doors!? It’s so good! Wish you were on HGTV! I remember when they had all sorts of small projects or interior design and decorating. Now everything is about rebuilding, reselling, etc.. Not my thing. Give us back the small basics!

I dream of a show where we can tackle a space in a real world way with the home owner or renter is involved. Show where to spend, how to save in different cities with different styles. Go to the local flea markets, antique malls, and stores in their city & online purchases...

As someone who lives in a little house where you walk into the living room, I can attest to playing with scale! The old ppl used to have a small “love seat”, but we have a full 3 seater sofa (low rise) and it makes the space feel so much bigger

Excellent job! I can just picture that fireplace adorned with a swagged fir garland and gold taper candles around the holidays! I think light brown or white (faux) fur stockings would also look super stunning next to the rich color of the mantel! ♡♡♡

I really really really want wallpaper! And I've thought of doing paint version. The problem is, my walls are HIGHLY textured so I'm not sure how it would look. I've been thinking about this alot!

@@heymaryelizabeth you have done so many daring things in the past. I say, embrace the texture and do a paint wallpaper look. Maybe a dark color with a satan finish instead of a gloss? You could always paint it back if you don't like it

THanks! the fires have been crazy but luckily, so far, we've been lucky so far this year! It's Alabaster by Sherwin Williams. i also just painted my chicken coop (video v soon like tomorrow) Dover White which is really nice too. :)

Yes, it's soooo easy! Literally, undo the wires under the caps and touch them to the new wires and put the caps back on. Old wiring can be a little trickier. Make sure the light is off. Most people recommend turning the power off. I've done it lots of times (handymen, contractors I've been with too) without doing that but can't recommend it. But I can share it and show it. :)
