So helpful thank you. Sorry I’m a total newbie and I’m not sure what you mean by gathering stitch? You seemed to do something different when you sewed the edges of the 2nd tier of the skirt. Do I need to adjust my sewing machine?
A gathering stitch is when you sew a line of stitching but you don’t backstitch at the start or end to secure it. You want the stitching to be wider and leave long tails of thread at the start and end so once sewn you’re able to pull them and gather the fabric by hand ❤️
Hi, you had an amazing tutorial. There's just one thing I'm confused about. I think you said it in the video. I'm just confused about this part, but what kind of stitch did you use when you sewed the second tier onto the first one?
Should be pretty easy, just cut out a pocket shape and sew it into the side seams of the first tier, I would think. There are tutorials on adding in-seam pockets to skirts that might help you think through the logistics
How do you print out the sewing pattern. The instructions have how to lay out the A4 pages when you print them but then the pattern itself is just one page. Awesome design though!
Hi! So glad you love the pattern. Please make sure you have printed the at A4/US letter pattern if using your home computer and have selected print 100% to scale. Then you will stick all the pages together and cut out your size. The pattern will have a border around each page which you’ll need to cut and stick together.
