Re: finishing the inside seam between bodice and skirt: You can just sew the gathered skirt onto the bodice and not include the lining in the seam. Press so that the gathered seam turn up. Then turn the bottom edge of the bodice under 1/4" and hand sew to the gathered skirt so that all seams are enclosed. Top stitching is optional.

My father just passed away in April. I just finished a size 4T and a 7 out of his shirts, soon to be followed by memory pillows. Thank you so much for the patterns. They were extremely easy, quick to put together and look amazing.

I tried making this dress and adding bell sleeves, but struggled with how to then do the lining. Thank you for this great tutorial and demonstration. Once I saw this, I had to complete one right away. I couldn't find a button down shirt but I did find a shirt that went maybe a quarter of the way down leaving the front portion closed. When I came to the part that you turned the upper bodice and back inside out (or to the right side) I couldn't do it. I was driving myself crazy and became more confused. Is this because the front of the bodice doesn't open up? If so, is there a solution? My brain is fried trying to figure out a way to complete the top portion giving it a finished look. Thank you so much. The only other possible solution I can think of is to cut the rest of the front open but it will look silly. :/

I'm new to sewing, and I printed out the 3T pattern and made sure the 1" box measured correctly. The Back bodice shoulder seam is wider then the front bodice shoulder seam. Is that correct?

How do i get a size 6 pattern? I only see the 2T

This may be a stupid question but i don't know how else to ask it. When you're sewing the skirt part of it, what do you do to get the fabric to bunch up at the top (mot sure what this is called)? is it a certain stitch or do you just weave it in and out of the fabric. I think you might have a little problem with your drawn patterns.... Maybe a disclaimer would suit? I'll give you a wee hint... Do children not get taller as the grow? The chest is correct.. But the bodice length isn't.... The 7 Yr pattern is missing 3" at least off the bottom.
