Vielen Dank! Das ist das beste Video zum Wechseln dieser kleinen Zusatz-Batterie, das ich gesehen habe! Ich werde nun genau nach dieser Methode die Zusatzbatterie in meinem S212 350 BlueTech (Diesel) anwenden.

Just replaced the one in my 2012 E350. Same spot as yours. Another You Tube video showed the guy removing and replacing it through the rectangular hole in the side of the dash, but my hands were too big to get through the opening. Removed the bottom panel like you showed and then it was relatively easy to get the old battery out and the new one in.

I am curious how long your main AGM last before needing a swap? My W212 OEM battery is 6,5 years old and showing only 12.0V under load with engine off. Still starts well.

I replaced it last year. It lasted almost 9 years. It started doing long cranks before the engine fired, for a few days, until it didn’t start at all.

Is it the same battery for all E350s? I have a 2011 bluetec end got this warning today.

Is it the same for 2017 E 300 ?

2010-2012 had it under the dash like mine. After that I believe that it’s in the trunk. If your car is a 2017 that is not even a W212, but instead it’s a W213. Not familiar with those but I believe they they are the same as the W205 c-class. It would be under the foot rest in the passenger foot well. I’m thinking about replacing the battery myself, but I don’t really have much experience with fixing things like that. Do you think this is easy enough to replace at home?
