@@tonyfat2458 Eventually Woden boards did shrink a little and now there’s a slight gaps between them so I’m going to redo entire picket boards by overlapping them to get that ultimate privacy fence.
@balabay77 Thanks, I'm going to be putting up a steel frame with red wood boards, and I'm going to do board on board for privacy. Vertical overlapping I think this is what they call the one I want to do
He's Mexican, and that's a trade in Mexico. They build houses without using any electrical tools. I live abroad, and I am always amazed with how well they work with hardly any tools. Great job for working well with your son. Your fence turned out beautifully. Stay blessed!
the combination of the black metal and the wood is really attractive... and for future, it will just be boards that need replacing - really smart design.
Nice project. Clean, simple and logical designs. Your son will remember this for a long time, and perhaps inspired him to do things yourself if possible. Cheers.
Clever! Goes to show you do t need all the tools out on the market. You just need a few with a good thinking mind! Loved the outcome. Great job, and looks brilliant!
Well, it's not the tool, it's how you use it! Excellent job on your design, and an amazing job on your execution of your project. Very clever ways to create your latches, now that is inspirational. I sure hope the Mrs is proud of your accomplishment, and its truly a relief to see your son was down for the task at hand. Beautiful work Sir.
Great job with basic tools. A lot of times the only fancy “tool” you need is your brain. Makes me happy you have your son helping you. Passing on all that knowledge to the next generation. My brothers and I are doing something similar at our youngest brothers house. In Sac as well. Great job once again.
Lol so true, anything can be accomplished if you put your mind to it. Good luck with your project at your brothers house and let me know how it turns out. Thanks for watching.
That is a Beautiful fence / gate system. Very nice job and also enjoyed your video style (no heavy metal background music or lame attempts at standup comedy) Very Nice. Thanks for the inspiration
i don't know if i can do the same but i will try. its the most beautiful strong, husky gate video i saw. i saved it in my playlist and will have to do the same. really beautiful.
Hey thanks for this video guys, I was looking for a video just like this to be honest. I’m by no means an expert with the tools I have but I’m trying to get better and videos like this show me what I need to do on specific parts of specific projects. If I had to make a suggestion I would just say maybe try and show the audience more of literally everything that you do to get this built. Like EVERYTHING. What may seem like common sense or “no duhh” type stuff to you may be a complete mystery to others just beginning to learn how to DIY at rede and how to do everything home. Thanks again guys, I like and subscribed. Keep up the good work
Wow that’s a lot of money for a fence fabrication. I’m glad I decided to do it myself even though it took me a while to finish it. Indeed, my wife was happy to spend only 2 grand on it. Thanks for watching and commenting.
Great video, very entertaining. if you are ever doing this sort of project again, get yourself a propane torch, once you have cleaned the metal with Acetone burn it with the torch, this causes the metal to sweat out any moisture and then immediately prime and paint. you can use all kinds of crappy paint and it will last for years because you arent trapping moisture under the paint job.
