So I built a mini pond for some guppies, mollies, and platys on my front patio. It was a super easy build than anyone could do.

What fish would you recommend for a 10 gallon community tank?

Mollies, platies, guppies or tetras

Ive been keeping mollies for a long long time now and 20gallons or higher is much more preffered. As there a schooling fish and live bearers and breed like crazy wether you want them to or not. My mollies are all 2-3 inches long. Platies for a 10 gallon yes mollies i would try to avoid though as there a bit bigger in the long run.

Rasboras. It's better to keep a school of tiny fish in a small tank than a few bigger ones tbh. They will be livelier and happier. Also get some live plants as they make a huge difference to the water quality. You can get more fish in a planted tank without issues, so there is room if they do breed.

My one question is how did your babie platies thrive? When i had baby mollies in with river rocks the rocks were too big and they ended up crushing a lot of my baby fish and killing them😔 hope you have better luck with that

Kaitlynn Sherlock I’m not exactly sure how river rocks could crush baby fish because like the rocks don’t move by themselves... something would have to be moving the rocks around aggressively for a fish to get hurt

@@ChewysBro in my situation the fish themselves were moving the rocks and then panicking and getting stuck so they couldnt move. I tried to save so many. This was also in a tank not a pond. Im sure its probably gonna turn out much better then my first big mistake i had about 9 months ago.
